      What is Verse Mapping?

      Verse mapping is a creative approach to Bible study that combines mind mapping with scriptural analysis. It involves unpacking a specific Bible verse(s) by breaking it down into different components, such as keywords, context, themes, and personal applications. By visually mapping out where your mind goes during study, you can deepen your understanding of the scripture and ts relevance to your life.

       

      Verse mapping (top) is paying close attention to the words, and things like syntax, used in a verse in order to extract the most meaning. This process often leads to mind mapping (below)--which is to analyze themes and make connections. Mind mapping moves away from the specific verse as the center of the visual and focuses on a topic or theme.
