Is it just me or this kind of say that there must be a great gap between rich and poor there?

Great gap. Yeah. The amount 1500 is around 25 us $. We are used to only less than 2 us $ per meal. For some 25 us $ is their monthly house rent.

So you can imagine.

That sounds a lot like Madagascar. We actually have some Indian background too (besides everything else, we are such a mixed people)

People there though live on less than a dollar a day...

 

Is India nevertheless a safe place for travel?

I feel so bad for the friends that suffer from so much snow and really cold weather. That's awful. 

On the West coast we are having earlier than normal spring. Got home from meeting and it was so nice I opened the doors and just now at 5:30 pm closed them. Ahhh, fresh air.

That was a pic of my backyard today. After 4 weeks of friends over, and I mean 6 to 13 people, I need the solace that this back yard provides. Here's the other one I took. I never tire of this view.

I’ve received many remarkable nature photographs over the years but this photo of a nesting Falcon is perhaps the most remarkable Nature shot that I’ve ever seen. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Nature is truly breath-taking!

 

I've sent this to most of my older friends. The younger ones probably have never seen a falcon and wouldn't recognize it.
