Does anyone know if you can bookmark your place in the Bible on the Jw library app?  I know you can download the bible to ibooks (I have an ipad)  and can bookmark there,  but can you bookmark your place in the bible on the app?  I like the features on the app and being able to compare the other versions as I'm reading/studying the Bible.  Thanks.

I don't think you can bookmark yet, but I believe I read somewhere that this was a "future" feature. You can however view a list of your "history" in the app. I use this to switch back to a place in the Bible that the speaker has said "keep you finger in there for a moment, as we will be coming back here" :)

Thanks, I'll have to try that.  As I said, I love having the verses from the other translations when I'm doing my studying/reading, and am enjoying using the app. Checking out the history on the app would be so much easier than keeping track on a separate piece of paper lol.

How do you view history in the JWLibrary app, Musky?

Once you have selected a Bible book and chose a chapter, a little icon appears along the top "menu bar" that looks like a little clock. Tap on it and you will get a list of the recent chapters you've been to in the order you have looked them up.

Must be an Android thing.  No little icon for me on iPad.

My Android app updated recently, did Apple's? If not, then I'm sure an update is in the works. It takes longer to update Apple apps as they have to be submitted to the Apple board for approval. I'm sure it's on the way. But then, I know you are used to waiting!

EDIT: Also, remember that the icon does not show up until you are actually in a chapter.

There are pictures and other files that use the word "bookmark" in the resource files on both Android and iOS. If I were to guess, I would say that the bookmarking feature would come out along side the "highlighting and notes" features that are "coming soon."

:notworthy: nice...I love my ipad but seeing this little feature makes me want to...well, not really. I did love that music clip. But we are used to waiting here in Mexico. We just got our new bibles. Mid December. A Box of 60...75 publishers. Fortunately, some already got one so that I was able to give 2 of my advanced bible students one. But I am now used to being able to "flip" around in the app, checking all the extra stuff in there that I am still using it for study and meetings. But I will love being able to bookmark or history check for my personal bible reading. And the new things coming...we are definitely being taught patience.

Not to rub salt in a wound, Chris, but the history feature also works in the BlueStacks version of JW Library on Win 7.

Hi All, I know the info in these posts are about a year old but wanted to know if anyone has found the "history search" in the iphone while using ythe JW Library app? I have 4s and had it in my pocket while in service and when I pulled it out, there was the history of my past searches. It even had the Bible translations I had used. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get back to it. I've searched for hours trying to figure out how to pull it up. I know the android system has the little clock type icon for the history but my phone doesn't have that icon. Does anyone know how to pull up the history search on the iPhone? It's there, I just don't know how to get to it. Thanks for any and all help.

You have to long press the Bible icon on iPad. It should be similar on an iPhone.

If you tap in the middle of a scripture, it will turn red, and then you can bookmark the book and the verse. I like this feature for RV's.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
