Your Favorite (or Least Favorite) Fictional Presidents..

... or world leaders.  We're a global board, after all.

In honor of the US Presidential Election next week, I thought it'd be interesting to start a conversation about various ficitional world leaders we've seen in entertainment.  Who did you like and who did you love to hate?

President Harrison Ford from the movie "Air Force One?"

President Jeb Bartlett from TV's "The West Wing?"

I mentioned Jeb Bartlett in another conversation I was having.  I've watched the series "West Wing" twice.  Bartlett was so popular that many people thought he really was a President.  He seemed like a good enough President, but the main star was not going to be portrayed as anything but good.  I really thought he was a bit full of himself and egotistical and a know-it-all.  For all his knowledge, I really disliked his misunderstanding and misapplication of the Mosaic Law, especially when it came to promoting or defending sexual (im)morality.

My all-time fave is "Dave".^_^

My wife and I watched "Dave" last election.  Or was it 2 elections ago?   We bought a dual DVD at Wal-Mart.  "American President" and "Dave."

She was better than her predecessor.

Morgan Freeman did a good job

My least favorite would probably be Gene Hackman - seems every time he is President, he is the bad guy

I also enjoy Madam Secretary, Tea Leoni's character is interesting.  I often think if I were in politics, I would be very much like her.

I don't know if anyone watches the show, but she's being selected for a different role as part of Season 4 (if memory serves).  I haven't watched any yet, so no spoilers pls!

And some of her quotes... are bang on in terms of how I feel.  LOL

I'm fully prepared to live with the consequences of my actions, what I couldn't live with, is the consequences of my inaction....

Well, get with it!  LOL.  It's been interesting so far.  Not just her story line, but the family story line, too.  :whistling::shutup:
