What's the Weather like where you live?

80 degrees in February…. That’s Texas Winter for ya. 🙃

Expecting another snow storm; this winter has been a record  setter. Can't wait for a couple or three months when I will not have to pay for fuel or airconditioning.

March is coming in like a lamb with dandruff. Where is the Head & Shoulders when you need it for all those flakes? 🤪

Wintry mix just as predicted,but warmer spring weather ahead. Has been a winter of discontent. That saying came from Shakespeare's Richard the third and was about moral decay. Steinbeck's same named novel was similarly about moral decay, post WW2. I believe discontent was one of the many  words Shakespeare invented or converted.

Snow outside is melting, with temps above the freezing line and should get warmer, not ready to lose another hour in  this daylight spring-ahead format.

Been raining on and off since Saturday night. Finally sky is somewhat clear, but I think more rain is coming Monday and Tuesday.

Right at this moment it's okay. But the forecast is telling us we've got freezing rain coming tomorrow, for about 24 hours. , this is not something I'm looking forward to!

 

Is it going to be like it was almost three years ago?

Well, that freezing rain event I mentioned a couple of posts back didn't amount to much. At least it wasn't as bad as three years ago. The ice on the trees looks a lot thinner than it was then, so not heavy enough to break a huge amount of branches. Streets and sidewalks were very slippery yesterday, and traffic was almost completely absent from the downtown area of Montreal. Schools were all closed in anticipation of the freezing rain, and some of them are still closed today.

on the evening of March 11, 2026 my wife and I were very thankful that a tornado that had touched down not far from our residence lifted up as it was coming toward our home.   We live on the SW side of Oklahoma City and all evening long those rotating clouds went across the full of Oklahoma City.   Some areas were pelted with Softball size hail.    We didn't get the hail, very little rain and NO TORNADO touched down .   What is concerning is that Tornado season is just beginning.   Oklahoma has had 22 tornadoes (touch done)  this year thus far.     We were praying diligently .

We do know that other parts of the country did have a lot of damage and loss of life.    Our prayers do go out for anyone affected by such vicious weather.       Warm love to you all brothers and sisters!  💕

I think I would live in a concrete home with 8" walls and very small windows. We have had tornados' in Oregon but they have been EF .5-1 with very little damage.

March 10th and 11 temperatures reaching 80 degrees in certain areas of NY and NJ. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors in the field service, however, March 12th, the temperature dropped significantly, it started snowing in areas, including New Jersey and New York - from shorts and sandals to overcoats.
