I thought I'd make a thread listing some websites run by brothers who make a living selling ministry and meeting supplies such as folders, bags, book and Bible covers, go bags etc. Feel free to add any others you know of that are not listed.

Thanks.

You may also appreciate this topic we already have.  I think it includes some of these same links.

Wonder how much they pay for the legal rights to use Caleb and Sophia on their items?

Why? Most things we use voluntary contributions. Do you wonders which of your friends contribute and how much?

Why?

Because those sites selling notepads are not ran by voluntary donations. They are a commercial business using copyright images they probably  did not purchase.  Technically, they may be  in copyright violation.

Now, it is possible they wrote the Branch and got permission

In answer to Thesauron, they probably paid nothing. Our organization is not one that would sell licensing agreements for merchandise.  However, I doubt the Slave is going to care. Obviously the Slave is letting these businesses sell Caleb and Sophia images. They are not making a stink about copyright infringement. They have not issued cease and desist letters and they are not suing over copyright.

The Slave must feel it isn't a big deal and does not appear to be discouraging the practice at this time.

We should not make an issue out of it, either. If it bothers our conscience, then we should not use these products. That doesn't mean we need to raise the question of copyright infringement, either.

As I said above, it is possible they did receive permission, and this gives them the rights to use Caleb and Sophia.

It's a good question, though.

jwstuff.org stopped using Caleb and Sophia images. I dont know if they got a cease and desist order from the Branch but they have different characters now.
