Is Personal Study > Restore Backup working for others?

For me, even if it manages to open the file browser it still doesn’t load the file.

(iPhone and iPad.)

Not fixed in latest release, 15.0.2

Sorry, that was my old Spanish holdover.  But I still don't have an update to the Windows JW Library.  I am still using version 14.3.45.  It has been weeks since Apple and Android updated.

Yes the delay on windows is strange...

My windows surface just had jw library updated in the Microsoft store!!!

YAY! 😀

Update, my surface initially showed there was an update but something don't look right though. It may have not updated.

Is this the update or the previous version.

It looks old from what was previously posted. The wait is still ongoing.

With no update for the JW Library on Windows for a couple of months, does anyone have any idea or heard any rumors or want to hazard a guess as to why?

Is it some future adjustment making the Windows app merge into something else?

Do we need to wait for the Annual Meeting to get a special announcement?

Just asking...🕰️

No idea brother John. I just hear the AM ticking which could be the answer to not updating. It's going to start to get very feverish in Warwick, and on JWTalk, let's not even talk about it. On the other hand, I heard a rumor according to which a Turtle was going to attend the program, this should be verified because it was a question of getting up very early in the morning and as he is not quick quick quick...

The framework is a bit different for Windows. The UI alone is already different, so it takes a little longer, and there may be significant changes as well. WTLIB... One thing I do know is that the branch is very busy these days, based on what they said (as I mentioned a while ago in this topic), they are preparing for something. What that will be, we don’t know.

It may also be related to JW HUB. but again, we do not know for sure until am24.

I agree.  Windows is a different interface.  That is why I have always like the WTL version of the library.  I am sure the work being done is far-reaching.  It used to be that our organization was using IBM-type equipment and we stayed close to Microsoft (DOS and then Windows).  But patience is needed.  Some of the recent advances for the Apple and Android publishers make me miss those features in Windows.

Time will tell what wonderful things are in store for us.  After the AM and on into the future.

I must have tried syncing from my iPad to my iPhone dozens of times and ‘for no reason at all’ it just started working!

I have a odd bug on my iPhone running iOS18.

On the Bible tab, pressing the three dots in the upper right opens up a menu (change language and so on). But this menu has no function. I can’t change language or open recent. Not even the “done” button to close the menu seems to work. I hope this will be fixed soon.

Has anybody an idea how to report such bugs?

Yup, that bug has been going since the early betas, I have a spare iPhone I use for beta testing and found it back in June and sent a report to the branch, but they told me they may not fix that until around the release date.

So, I had to repeatedly reinstall the app several times, if I want to use other Bible languages. It's a pain, but at least it's not in my main device.

REMINDER

There is a known issue in the JW Library app running on iOS 18, primarily in the Bible tab, where you cannot click any buttons in the navigation bar's 'More' menu. This issue occurs more frequently if you have an iPhone but may also occur on iPad using Stage Manager.

An upcoming update for the JW Library app will fix this issue.

I just updated to ios 18 on my phone and when attempting to update jw library, it says it needs the password for Philip Coperland's apple ID. I don't know who that is but it's a Gmail account. Please help.

Maybe it is still linked to the previous owner in Find My etc.?
