Time is really flying toward the end of May (a week before our convention) when we start, well, for lack of better words, taking down our KH and getting it ready for the very big project.

Friends have been putting names on paper for items they’d like to have. Sounds like everything not nailed down or even nailed down is going out the door.

Library bookshelves have been stripped of books. Bulletin boards, clocks. pictures, you name it, are going.

Brothers that have the rooming assignment are trying to figure out where to put people. Especially the LDC brothers who will probably be here for the long term. Not easy with such a small congregation. Not everyone has that kind of room. Even Marquette (about 40 miles away) has been mentioned.

I guess the contract is/was signed this week for using the basement of the museum for our meetings.

I asked what days are scheduled for service and one day is Sundays and than another day (Wednesday(?) during the week.

Than a sister mentioned that the brother who handles Friday morning service meeting would have it at his house on that day as he won’t be able to help much at the project. But than someone asked if the elders knew about that. 😳 We didn’t know. So till things get ironed out it’ll be interesting.

I’m assuming some of the things I learned are not written in stone yet and might be subject to change.

I’ve been asked to work security for a few hours Sunday afternoon and Monday during the project. Monday I get to work with a sister that I really enjoy going out in the Ministry with. 😁

Still trying to figure out who to talk to about working in parking/safety, which both Ross and I worked in under RBC

3 months is a long time.

Have you submitted your dc50 or can you log in to your ba account? You can still volunteer ask the LDC about the matter. I know they allow local volunteers even gave them IDs. Those local volunteers are not BAs :)

If you are a regular pioneer you can ask if you can credit the hours as well to the LDC. They require you to have always with you the dc82 in electronic or physical copy, and also an updated DPA. If you have personal PPEs you can bring them as well :)

I’m working on that with our congregation secretary...the paperwork and trying to get into the BA site. But someone mentioned if the paperwork isn’t up to date that may be why I can’t get into it.

Nope, just a publisher. 😁

Current DPA I have.

DC-50 forms expire every 3 years.  They have to be renewed and resubmitted.

If the paperwork is done and the secretary has linked everything,  you still may not be able to access the BA site if you had an old RBC account. If the old RBC account was reactivated, you will need the old RBC logon and password the first time you open the site. There is a Forgot Password link if you can't remember your old password.

So far we haven't proceeded on anything. Our secretary just got back a couple days ago.

Yes, it would be an old RBC account.

I attached what I see when I open the BA site.

Yes, I tried that. But I still have to put in my username from JW.org followed by @jwpub.org

Than the JW.org password.

Doesn’t work.

I’m hopeless.  :lol1:

Try your old RBC password instead of the jw.org password.

Hmmm, as I haven’t had a need to go into the site for almost 5 years, I have no idea what it was. :wheelchair:

Reset the password. The instructions are available on the page you showed earlier.

Sister Linda, this is what it says on the top of the DC-50 form,

LOCAL DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEER APPLICATION (DC-50)

This application is for exemplary baptized publishers ....Please answer completely all questions applicable to you. It is preferred that the information on this application be entered electronically. Applications should be renewed every three years or when there is a change of circumstances that would affect the answers on this application, including the move to a new congregation.

There will be a reply and on the bottom of the reply is a numeric code.  That code must be entered by the Secretary to add you to the congregation domain.  Then you have to sign in as noted in the other comments.

I think if you have submitted your updated dc50 because of changed circumstance to the elders you just have to wait until an email comes. Another thing to the process is the patience :)

In order to log into BA you need:

  • A current approved LDC
  • An active JW.org account
  • The number from the bottom right of the JW.org screen once you are logged into JW.org (it looks something like this TVKXLNSD)
  • The Congregation Secretary needs to add you to the Congregation Domain with that number you were assigned
  • Your JW.org and BA accounts linked (this will be done the first time you login to BA once the other things on this list are completed

Its not a requirement to attend all invitation. A respond in going to invitation even once in a year will still make your account active. Also its not a must that you're a regular pioneer :)

Correct - accepting invites is not directly related to your ability to log into BA. There is NO requirement to be a Pioneer to be active in LDC.

However, even if you were to accept every invitation you received and attended every event you accepted - you will still have to update your DC-50 every 3 years ... if not updated, your BA account will become deactivated.

An additional point - if you receive an invitation through BA - you should/need to respond to it. You should either accept or decline it. If you do "nothing" the LDC is left "hanging" and that is not a good thing. Some just "ignore" an invitation if they do not plan to attend, some even think if they decline they will not be asked again, and this caused the LDC extra work when trying to fill all the requested/needed personnel for a task that is scheduled.

So, if you are active with LDC - PLEASE ... respond to ALL invitations you receive by either accepting or declining - do not leave the LDC hanging ...
