Job 39 : 1 - 15

Do you know the time when the mountain goats give birth?

Have you watched the deer give birth to their young?

Do you count the months that they must complete?

Do you know the time when they give birth?

They crouch down when they give birth to their young,

         And their labor pains end.

 Their young become strong and grow up in the open field;

They go out and do not return to them.

Who set the wild donkey free,

And who untied the ropes of the wild donkey?

I have made the desert plain its home

And the salt land its dwelling.

 It scorns the tumult of the city;

It does not hear the shouts of the driver.

It roams the hills, seeking pasture,

        Looking for every green plant.

Is the wild bull willing to serve you?

Will it spend the night in your stable?

10 Will you hold a wild bull to the furrow with a rope,

Or will it follow you to plow the valley?

11 Will you trust in its great strength

And let it do your heavy work?

12 Will you rely on it to bring back your harvest,

And will it gather it to your threshing floor?

13 The wings of the ostrich flap joyfully,

But can her pinions and plumage compare with the stork’s?

14 For she leaves her eggs on the ground,

And she keeps them warm in the dust.

15 She forgets that some foot may crush them

Or that a wild animal may trample them.

Job 39 : 1  Do you know the time when the mountain goats give birth?

Mountain Goat in Rocky Mountain

Mountain goats, adroitly ambulating alpine ascents of the Rocky Mountains.

A female mountain goat with two babies on a rock mountain in Glacier National Park, Montana.

This shaggy animal, it's back hunched in a manner somewhat suggestive of a Bison, is a master at negotiating the steepest of precipices. Mountain Goats are truly alpine creatures. They commonly rest on high-elevation snowfields and find most of their food among the plants of alpine meadows. Their hooves are structured to [optimize] balance and grip; the outer hoof is strongly reinforced and the bottom is lined with a rubbery material, making the whole structure rather like a good hiking boot. These animals nonchalantly cross dizzying ledges, sometimes even at a trot.”

In fact, the high-altitude dexterity of the mountain goat is so phenomenal that it routinely spends most of its time on precipitous terrain steeper than a 40 deg. angle, and sometimes at pitches steeper than 60 deg.!, especially during winter. Furthermore, the leg bones of the mountain goat are engineered to maximize a functional mix of precision balancing (such as perching all 4 hooves on a small spot), front-forward pulling power, propulsion leverage and maneuverability (for running and jumping), and stability (due to a low center of gravity) against tipping over.

“A mountain goat climbs with three-point suspension. … Lifting one limb at a time [it] frequently pauses to assess the situation, tests the footing, and if needed, turns back and selects a different route. Slow, sure consistency allows life on rock steeper than the angle of repose. Because they are most likely the ones to find themselves in a tight spot, kids do most of the go-for-broke climbing. Although a kid might take four or five missteps per year, it salvages the situation almost every time

Thus, the mountain goats are aptly designed for moving on rocky slopes. Mountain goats are instinctively careful, and they apply their characteristic agility, as they test their environment. (Indeed, when predatory cougars try to attack them, the God-given instinct of mountain goats to flee, successfully, is often implemented by their agility and speed in and up these jagged rocky slopes and precipices!)

List of animals in the Bible

A

  • Addax — A kind of antelope  with twisted horns; it very probably corresponds to the dîshõn of the Hebrews  translations

Deu 14: 3-5   “You must not eat anything that is detestable. These are the animals that you may eat: the bull, the sheep, the goat,  the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the antelope, the wild sheep, and the mountain sheep.

1 Samuel 24 2  So Saul took 3,000 men chosen from all Israel and went to look for David and his men on the rocky cliffs of the mountain goats (Ibex)

Encyclopedias - Scripture Alphabet of Animals

The Ibex resembles the common goat, but is
larger, and its horns are much longer; they are sometimes considerably
more than a yard in length, beautifully curved, and surrounded by many
curious rings or ridges.

It lives in places where you would think no animal could get without
falling and breaking its neck; you would be frightened to see it
sometimes, when it climbs up rough and narrow places, or jumps from one
great rock to another. But God has given it just such a kind of foot as
it needs; it has a small hoof, something like those of a sheep,
excepting that it is hollow underneath, and has a sort of ridge around
it by which the animal can cling to the rock, and so keep from slipping.
I never heard of such a thing as one of them sliding off the rocks,
unless it was pursued by the hunters. Two goats once met on a high
narrow path, where there was just room for one to walk. There was a
high rock rising close to their shoulders on one side, and on the other
was a place so steep that it would have made you dizzy to look down.
They could not go back without danger of falling, and they could not
pass each other; what do you think they could do, but stay there and
starve? It seemed for a little while as if they were considering about
it; at last one bent his knees and laid down, and the other walked
safely over his back.

Job 8: 14,15

Whose confidence is in vain

And whose trust is as fragile as a spider’s web.*

He will lean against his house, but it will not keep standing;

He will try to hold on to it, but it will not last.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/04/science/spider-silk-web-self-assembly.html?

Pound for pound, spider silk is stronger than steel and tougher than Kevlar. But it doesn’t start out that way.

The silk starts out in a liquid form called dope (literally, dope). But in fractions of a second, this goopy, liquid slurry of proteins is transformed. And it doesn’t just turn into a solid. On their way out of a spider’s bottom, the protein building blocks in silk, called spidroins, fold themselves and interlace, creating a highly organized structure without guidance from any outside force.

This remarkable process of self-assembly is about as strange as a garden hose spitting out a stream of perfect snowflakes.

I was listening to a documentary while working and they were talking about the alpine goats(ibex) but all I heard was the lovely sounds of horns clacking as they fought. Imagine living in a world quiet enough where we are able to pay attention to all the sounds of Jehovah’s creatures.

Cant wait! Says the lady who lives on a highway that all the motorcycles drive by on....🙄

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

Filipino reporter skips a beat as her cats fight behind her during live interview

https://youtu.be/rQjjG6I2y0M

Cat — Mention of this animal occurs not once in the Protestant Bible. It is mentioned in Baruch 6:21 as resting on the top of false gods. The cat was very familiar to the Egyptians, it seems to have been known to the Jews, as well as to the Assyrians and Babylonians, even to the Greeks and Romans before the conquest of Egypt.
