Yes, thank you Neil.  How could we forget Phoebe?  Another women of faith we can strive to imitate! :)

Are there other women of faith in the Scriptures  - nameless in the record - that we can be encouraged as an example?  What about Jephthah's daughter?  In the spirit of her sacrifice, how may we follow her example?

Be a *Joanna*

Show by your actions the immense gratitude you have for what Jehovah has done for you personally. Risk disapproval by others by being proud of associating with Jehovah's people and by ministering to the Governing Body with your "belongings". Help to cover the expenses in your congregation, donate, give unselfishly and generously with whatever "unrighteous riches" you possess in order to "make friends" with Jesus and Jehovah.

Trivia Question:

How did Jesus buy such an expensive inner garment?

Quote

*** w09 7/1 p. 22 Did You Know? ***
Completely seamless garments, like the one Jesus wore, were unique to Palestine. They were woven on upright looms that used two sets of vertical warp threads, one at the front and one at the back of a crossbar. The weaver would alternate his shuttle, which carried the horizontal weft thread, from the front part of the web to the back, “thus creating a cylindric piece of fabric,” says one reference work. A seamless tunic would likely have been a rare possession, and the soldiers considered it a desirable one.

Possibly Jesus expensive, rare inner garment was not purchased in Israel/Palestine. If so, then how likely was it that a disciple of some wealth who loved Jesus dearly gave him this "rare" garment?  But which of all the many disciples and the apostles may have been the one who gave Jesus this rare gift?

Quote

“. . .. And the Twelve were with him(Jesus), as were certain women who had been cured of wicked spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magʹda·lene, from whom seven demons had come out; Jo·anʹna the wife of Chuʹza, Herod’s man in charge; Su·sanʹna; and many other women, who were ministering to them from their belongings.” (LU 8:1-3)

*** w15 8/15 p. 30 What We Can Learn From Joanna ***
Undoubtedly, Jesus’ followers contributed what they could. His entourage may have included wealthy women. Because Joanna was or had been the wife of Herod’s steward, some conclude that she was well-off. Someone like her may have provided the expensive seamless garment that Jesus wore.

How about Abigail? I love Abigail. She was beautiful and discreet despite being married to a senseless, stupid and harsh man.Without telling her husband she went to meet David and in a long and heartfelt plea, showing wisdom, logic, respect as well as humility she convinced David to not do as he was planning to do and shed unrighteous blood or fail to trust that Jah would fix the problem.

A friend sent this to me yesterday so I wanted to share it here.

By the way, phone service is definitely not required, but the Scriptures does tell us that Jehovah has a telephone number.  It is Jeremiah 33:3 . :D

Thank you Sandra, this is precious.  I copied it to print but, I may have to hold off as it looks like this list will continue to grow... 💜

(Deuteronomy 28:3)  “Blessed you will be in the city, and blessed you will be in the field.

Being blessed by Jehovah is not contingent on location, assignment or circumstances.

...and there is Naomi, the widow of Zarephath

Be a *Naomi*

Even though we may lose in death someone we dearly love, Jehovah knows the depth of ou grief and assures us of a wonderful future.  We are not without hope!  Until then, may we let our enduring love and unshakeable faith in Jehovah help us to cope and overcome such adversity; yes allowing our Great God to "be our joy" now and moreso in His New World.

Be like the *Widow of Zeraphath*

Like the widow of Zarephath, many today are struggling to put food on the table.  So in these current days of pestilence(s), and as we approach the coming great tribulation, many more of us may lack sufficient sustenance as we struggle to provide food for ourselves and/or family members.  Let it be our resolve, our faith and reliance on Jehovah to be a refuge for us during these times of difficulty or uncertainty.  Pray. Hope. Act.

AS THE sun blazed down on the small Sidonian town of Zarephath, a widow stooped to gather up sticks. She needed to build a fire so that she could cook a meager meal—probably the last meal that she and her young son would eat. She had struggled to keep herself and her boy alive through a long drought and famine, and it had all come to this miserable end. They were starving.

A man approached. His name was Elijah, and the widow soon saw that he was a prophet of Jehovah. It seems that she had heard of this God. Jehovah was different from Baal, whose cruel, perverse worship was prevalent in her land of Sidon. So when Elijah asked her for a drink of water, she was eager to help. Perhaps she felt that doing so would gain her favor with Jehovah. (Matthew 10:41, 42) But then Elijah asked for more—a bit of food. She explained that she had only enough food for one last meal. Yet, Elijah persisted, assuring her that Jehovah would provide food miraculously for her until the drought was over. What did she do? The Bible says: “So she went and did according to Elijah’s word.” (1 Kings 17:10-15) These simple words describe a deed of great faith—so great, in fact, that Jesus Christ praised that widow almost a thousand years later!—Luke 4:25, 26.  -- WT 96 11/1

Maybe the Watchtower article that will be studied in a few months will further encourage our dear sisters:

To this David said: “What have I done now? I was only asking a question!”

The votes have been counted and recounted and it’s official!  We have a winner with over 240 lands reporting and 8,683,117 votes cast for Jesus Christ, the King of God’s Kingdom. Iit is evident that the people have chosen a leader they can trust!

His promises to eliminate sickness and death, ensure true peace and security, provide meaningful work for all, solve environmental problems and teach people what they need to do in order to live forever, resonated with those who casted their vote for him!

Additionally, he has assured the people that he and his 144,000 co-rulers will be ready to go to work on Day One. While many of his cabinet members have already been selected, he is in the process of filling the remaining seats, once completed, he has said they will immediately, deliver on his promises to:  (1) abolish false religion, (2) end human rulership, (3) remove wicked people, and (4) eliminate Satan and his demons, who have been misleading the nations.

His supporters canvassed neighborhoods for years encouraging people to cast their vote.  However, since the pandemic and shut downs and out of safety and concern for others, earlier this year, they changed their campaigning methods to telephone witnessing and letter writing.

It is anticipated that there may still be some votes that have not yet been cast or even counted and tallied as of this report. However, the Governing Body has confirmed that all votes will be counted regardless of when it was received, up until the day he takes office!
