What will the earth look like in the new system?

Recommended Posts

I’ve wondered about this. We live rural, and go through some beautiful country. Ferns, beautiful trees, wild flowers. Almost like a paradise. Then comes the scotch broom, and my good friend, the Himalaya blackberries. Some trees are invasive. On the coast, pampas grass.
I know we have forever to weed this stuff, but, will we? Will invasive plants go back to where they started?
Lupine, a good example. I think it originated in Iceland (?)

Scotch boom? Who knows. Himalaya berries. I have my suspicion.
And, they are not good!

Who knows. When it comes to society, "my" perfect world view is very rural villages, lone homes and so on, and no urban districts, no concrete or ugly block towers, but that's the opinion of one man.

I'd like to think that whatever we do, even with "cities", would be asthetically pleasing, artistic, not just cold function like corporations like to produce. Perhaps intergrating the land "with" our homes and other buildings. Much like how there is much to learn from nature, like bees make natural hives, and ants make nests in the ground, and so on. Their homes "merge" with the land, rather than choking it and polluting it. And some people today have made such places based on such a mentality.

I think there will be cities. People will need place to live. But they probably won't look like the current modern cities. There will be a no need to have a police station, hospitals, industrial districts, high-rise commercial buildings, etc... Since they will be a thing of the past.

If you have been to a Bethel facilities, you will notice how our brothers have made the Branch buildings be beautifully designed with the surrounding nature.

So a city in the Paradise would look like that. House, buildings, lamps, road constructions that are in harmony with the surrounding forests, trees and rivers.

You minds eye can’t even imagine the Beauty....

I know. I just have to look out my window.
We will have beautiful areas, or parks forever, I suspect.
But, a lot of what I see is natural beauty, um, minis invasive stuff. (We tried to buy some pampas grass to stabilize a slanting hill we have in the front of the house. The staff at the store acted like we were criminals. Said we don’t sell invasive plants) Then another staff person quietly said, “stop along the freeway, and grab a plant”.

But, I’m thinking, Jehovah has provided us with so much natural beauty.
Thing is, in the old days, there was open range for cattle. Now, no. (Thankfully)

But as a result, we have a lot of undergrowth, that, yearly, causes forrest fires. And, in the 30 years, plus, we have seen a couple of small meadows disappear.
In the past, it’s been hard for me to do in volunteer trees. No more. The worst are pepperwood, oak, and fir. Get them while they are tiny infants, or you will be in big trouble. Cut them back.  I have a couple of bushes, that are tenacious. Oak. They have to be dug out, root and all. Oh, alders are not good, either. And, they are junk trees!

Its raining right now. Much needed and appreciated.

Alders don’t have a long life span. I think.
Thing is with the trees, they just keep moving toward you.
We had some nice trees around the house. Cut down. At first it was hard for me. Those trees meant something.
I ended up agreeing. Fire danger, and, eventually, they might fall.
I think trees are special. Right now, I have two cedar, two redwood, and a Norfolk pine. Growing in containers on the deck. I’m getting ready to surrender one of the cedars. It’s really tall, and it needs to be turned loose.
oh, I have some redbud. It’s a bush tree. Has to be planted. My husband wants it for the cemetery.
Which, will be no longer a part of this land, in time.

About 60 years so if im still here when im avout a hundred they will be useful. Not sure about where you live but here in Ireland its fairly wet and Alders are virtually waterproof, can be used for pipes or boats or just to drain land and add nitrogen to the soil so "better" trees can fair better.Interestingly parts of Venice is built on top of Alder wood.

I think it may be a regional thing. All I have is just experience living here. Our primary trees are fir, Douglas fir, oak, madrone, and yes, redwood. The alders that block our view are not our friends. But, they are not on our property!
