Hacked?

For the first time ever, the JW.ORG website is having trouble loading video, specifically the update #2/2021, along with some other GB videos, and the feature link of the Pearl talk is not connecting to the correct place either. Have we been hacked? Is this related to the Microsoft hack that was in the news today and they were warning that it was only a matter of hours for things to fall apart?

Ps. this is happening on laptop, not on cell phones.

My Update #2 streamed OK just before supper (about 5pm).  I downloaded that video and the one from Br. Jackson onto my Iphone just after supper (about 7pm) tonight.

We checked with several friends and they all had the same problem, but based on comments here, it doesn't seem so widespread.

Sounds like a local internet thing.  I'm streaming the No2 Update right now, and earlier watched it fine.  The front page of JW.ORG also is loading as usual.

On mine(central CA, using a Roku3 on Wave cable) the audio and video were off by a second or so. Never did synch up correctly. We watched the update #2 and also March Broadcast.....good stuff.

It might be a server issue. The brothers make use of many servers around the world, and they do fail sometimes. However, the system usually directs traffic to the nearest fully functioning server. I am not overly familiar with the technical side of JW.org though. Regarding audio video syncing, that could be a local issue.

In service this morning my daughter couldn’t bring up the site at all, but just for about 5 minutes or so.

I was unable to stream the video yesterday - however, it downloaded just fine and I watched it that way. I have not tried it since d/l so I do not know if the streaming issue was solved

The problem is specifically only if you try to watch GB update#2 by going  through the news banner on the top of the page, on a laptop.

I clicked on the link that was popsted in the thread about the update and I am on a PC - not a laptop. I did not use any banner or even start from the jw.org pages

 

I just tried the link in the post in the thread about the update

 

 

and I got this message

 

 

That is the same thing I got yesterday. Even though it does not stream from this link - the  link works just fine.
