Despite massive Western backing, Ukraine suffered terrible losses and gained nothing from challenging Putin to a fight. The war has brought Ukraine to the brink, causing a massive refugee crisis, economic collapse, social disintegration and ever-growing death toll.

 

Very conveniently he omits disastrous loses of Russia and free falling Russian economy. 

So to contrast what the author wrote about Ukraine lets see this: 

 

 

Inflation in Russia has reached its highest levels in nearly a year, driven by war spending and rising food prices, The Moscow Times reported on Dec. 25, citing Russia's Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

To curb accelerating inflation fueled by war expenditures, Russia's Central Bank has raised its interest rate from 7.5% in July 2023 to the current 21% — the highest level since the early 2000s.

Consumer prices rose 0.33% during the week of Dec. 17-23, pushing year-to-date inflation to 9.5%, surpassing the 2022 annual rate of 7.4%. Annual inflation now stands at 9.7%, with food prices surging by 11.41% — the steepest increase since October 2022.

Essential goods have seen dramatic price hikes since the start of the year, including potatoes (90.5%), onions (46.6%), cabbage (46.6%), and butter (35%). ... and there is more ... and more 

 

The war is a "disaster for both countries" 

Also its noteworthy to notice what the Bible says about KOTN and it's behavior during the last days. 

And finally unless the ruler of this system (Satan) is not removed things will only get worse. 

 

 

An editorialist is generally a journalist who offers subjective, biased information, unlike an ordinary journalist who is required, by the Munich Charter, to give objective and neutral information. It is rare that an editorial does not fit into the editorial line of the newspaper he represents.

 

An editorialist always gives an opinion,it is his reason for being, it may not necessarily be his own, but he gives an oriented direction to the thought that he (or the newspaper he represents) wants to defend.
