Cyrus the king and Alexander the Great are the good example why we are looking for the persons who tend to duplicate the actions according to what are already written. Regarding the words from the Book of Revelation, is a bit different story. Books like Daniel and Ezekiel have descriptions that somehow can help us who is who...

You are right! Nothing in the Bible points to a single person that would move this world to its end...

Jehovah is going to put it into the minds of all the governmental officials to give the UN their ok to destroy BBG.

And that's the difference.  Previously with Cyrus and Alexander they were named as human tools to fulfill prophecy. This time entities, not individuals are named. First the nations handing over power after being moved by Jehovah, then UN destroying false religion.  There are no individuals foretold here. 

 

Doesn't mean Mr Trump won't do anything interesting or stir up trouble for us, but he's not a key player in this prophecy.... entities are.

Only Cyrus the king named in the book of Isaiah. Alexander never ever mentioned only after he was duplicate what is written. Just to tell some, Ceasars of Roman world had made the words fulfilled but their names never ever quoted in the Bible. Their actions were becoming the indicators of fulfillment. In modern times, we have KOTN quoted because of its descriptive action againts Jehovah’s people...

Let's also look at WWI to see how a major world event supported by Bible prophecy came completely and unexpectedly out of the blue. Everything was fine until Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated. 

 

Suppose that Christians hypothetically in 1814 clearly understood Bible prophecy and had faith a global war was going to start in 1914.  Would they have been able to read political events, follow elections and coronations and see just how the stage was being set for a world war? No. Until the assassination and the choices made at that moment there was no sign, no hint, no news report that suggested such a momentous change.  There were no war mongers in power. No nasty world leaders that seemed full of hate.

Suddenly. Unexpectedly. That's my understanding of how Jehovah's one thought and the start of the great tribulation is going to be. There will not be any signs or events or politicians that we will point to and see how Jehovah will maneuver them. We won't see how the stage will be set. 

 

This topic is 329 pages of people trying to see how Jehovah is or will maneuver kings and nations into doing his will.  The thing is, Jehovah does not need any previous set up by world powers or UN resolutions or brink of nuclear war or Trump or Putin or any politician to be in place before giving them his one thought. Jehovah could act suddenly and unexpectedly.

Unless I am reading Revelation the wrong way, the rulers are influenced by outside forces.  I don’t read of alliances forming until the spirit realm gives them the idea.  So looking at the type of person in power is futile.  They’re pawns.  
 

I get cringy when I hear people say “he is going to bring on the destruction of BTG referring to some politician.  I used to think the same way, especially with daddy bush  and his “new world order” talk.  But once Babs is destroyed, the very rulers and commercial “giants” are going to regret destroying her.  (“Too bad, too bad” but not because “she” deserved it…Rev 18:9-11). Rev 17 is kind of confusing as to the time line, but vs 14 mentions how the King of kings conquers the 8th “king”, then in vs 18 the “wild beast” goes on to destroy BTG because  God puts it into their collective hearts…whereas in Rev 16:14 expressions inspired by demons lead the kings together to the Great War.  Then in Rev 19:19 again the kings are gathered to wage war, but the wild beast and false prophet are hurled into the lake of fire.  The humans are killed at that point.  So not in chronological order…but it says enough to show that this isn’t going to be any human’s idea.

Alexander was not named correct, but he featured as an individual in prophecy.  Ceasars were named after the fact, any Ceasar could have fulfilled that prophecy and again prophecy pointed forward to single events performed by individuals as part of a chain of events. The P&S and GT do not foretell events surrounding single individuals,  but rather a collective.

This is a good point. A recent call of mine keeps talking about the Antichrist, 7 years of tribulation and the Mark of the Beast. It seems to come for an odd interpretation of the 70 weeks of Daniel 9, where the last week gets lopped off and sent to the future. It comes from Daniel 9:26,27 which talks of 'the people of a leader [prince]'. They separate 'prince' and it becomes the focus of an interpretation of the Antichrist inside a 7 year period and the next verse which talks of the 'covenant' and 'middle of the week', as that future event and applied to the Antichrist. Mostly in the US among evangelicals, but other churches seem to be following it as well. Instead of waiting for the Messiah, they are waiting for the anti-Messiah. They don't see all the nations together as the enemy of God now. What a mess!

I looked up terrorist  attacks inspired by ISIS and there are lists of events classified per year. Basically those attacks keep happening every year.

I've been keeping an eye out on a couple of court cases. The one involving the tiktok ban has my interests peaked. They're saying it's because the app allows people to say things that sow doubt in the government or make it easy to still data from its users.

 

Could that also lead to other sites they feel leaks misinformation or doesn't speak all positive about the government being banned? I wonder if it could eventually include other sites such as the news channels or even JW, since we look to God's government.
