My son was reading the article from a computer and it showed the website addresses when he hovered above the hyperlinks. So when the article writer referenced a book "that warned Christians to gird their loins for a period of Great Tribulation", they linked "What Is the Great Tribulation?" on jw.org.

yeah, that's the one I use, and is the best IMO, but for those using Chrome, they need to jump through a few hoops to install, whereas in FF you can grab from the store and install with 1 Click.

Unfortunately blocking JS doesn't work on many sites, in that while it gets you pass the paywall, it then depends on JS to load the content.  An example is The Times UK

They are probably referring more to the what we used to call cable Fox News. I don’t know what it’s called now since they are everywhere, not just cable. They tend to be more opinion based. 
Here the major news outlets have a basic news broadcast on one of the main channels…like your typical nightly news. But they also have their other 24/7 news channels where most of the hosts are biased and it’s all politically charged commentary. 
I try to avoid any of those and stick to the regular nightly news sources from different channels. It helps avoid a lot of drama and conspiracy theories that way. Because even if the crazy sounding stuff turns out to be true, what are we going to do about it?  A whole fat load of nothing. 😉
