Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

Recommended Posts

Matthew 24:36 says:
“But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.”

But after his resurrection, Jesus said in Matthew 28:18:
“All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.”

And in Revelation 1:1, we read that God gave Jesus the revelation “to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place.”

So, can we say that now, as King in heaven, Jesus has already received from the Father the necessary knowledge to carry out judgment and fulfill God's purpose , including the exact time to act?

Yes.

I think so, too, given that he'll be taking the lead to initiate the battle.

At the very least, he must know it and receive the instructions and information from his Father, who has given him the 'green light' and who trusts his son totally, a very special son, of whom we are all proud and grateful.

But Christ has been empowered in heaven to wage war against Satan’s world. (Rev. 19:11-16) Thus, it is reasonable to conclude that Jesus now knows when Armageddon will occur.

Yes.  It's not a smart strategy to keep such information from the army general.

*** ws16 July p. 11 par. 4 Why Must We “Keep on the Watch”? ***

4 When we go to a convention, we know what time each session will begin. However, it is impossible for us to know exactly when the great tribulation will begin. When on earth, Jesus said: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36) Of course, since Jesus is the one who will lead the war of Armageddon, most likely he now knows when that war will be. (Revelation 19:11-16) But we still do not know the date or time when the end will come. That is why it is very important for us to keep on the watch. Jehovah has decided exactly when the great tribulation will begin, and each day it is getting closer and closer. “It will not be late!” (Read Habakkuk 2:1-3.) Why can we be so sure of this?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Today Putin as expected rudely rejected Trump's ultimatum, repeating the demands again in his usual caddish manner and bluffing again as usual. I think he feels China's breath on his back.

The issuance of this divine decree in 2490 B.E.V. marked the beginning of the end of that ungodly world. Think what it meant for the people of that time! Only 120 more years and Jehovah would bring "the flood of waters upon the earth to reduce to ruin all flesh in which the power of life from under the heavens is active." - Genesis 6:17.

Genesis 6:3 — If it were 120 years counted from 1914, that would take us to 2034. In that case, 9 years would be left. But relax, it's nothing serious — just my own speculation.  😅😅😅😅

There is a reason why FDS does not speculate on chronological order. A good reason.

2033 is 2000 years since Jesus sacrifice and one year closer, I like that speculation more...:lol1:
