Why did I get three sighs for this?

I changed my mind about something I wrote and decided to delete it. Why <sigh>?

Because I want to know what you wrote!

In my final post on this subject, let’s take a look at the present and see where we are headed:

1) Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 after holding a “referendum” and incorporated it into the country.
The West did nothing more than protest and slap some sanctions.

4) And now with about 1/5 of Ukraine’s land occupied, Trump is now appearing to push them to accept a deal with Putin.

The public seems to be in shock at Trump's view on Ukraine.  But they didn't seem to raise an eyebrow when Obama did nothing in2014.

With the election of Obamas vice-president, Biden, in 2021, Putin must have believed Biden would have a similar response as his former boss and do nothing.  He invaded 13 months after the transfer of power.

Hmm, I do remember there being a LOT of upheaval in the Ukrainian government at the time. That is right around the time they removed the pro-Russian president. I don't recall Ukraine asking for the US to help with the Crimean situation.

It seems Ukraine was just glad to move on. I don't think that was an Obama decision.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annexation_of_Crimea_by_the_Russian_Federation

This puts a lot of that time period in perspective. BUT things were very different 3 years ago, just after they held democratic elections, and Zelensky won. He then DID ask for help and then help was limited initially - until the world was ready to be fully involved.

Putin should have been looking at the leadership of the country he was invading rather than some far away country like the US. With the first invasion of Crimea -  that government just let it go (saying "they just took an island - maybe they will stop there"), but they were surely unlikley to let a full-scale invasion just go by - and for that matter the rest of the world was unlikely to just let that go "and do nothing" as well.

Just a stray thought - the invasion of Ukraine is not Obama's, Biden's or Trump's fault. That is all the decision of Putin.

I believe that was 2 presidents before Zelensky.

BBC had this article when Zelensky won:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-48007487

Quote

With nearly all ballots counted in the run-off vote, Mr Zelensky had taken more than 73% with incumbent Petro Poroshenko trailing far behind on 24%.

"I will never let you down," Mr Zelensky told celebrating supporters.

Russia says it wants him to show "sound judgement", "honesty" and "pragmatism" so that relations can improve. Russia backs separatists in eastern Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko was the previous president before Zelensky. He is still free, I believe.

A quick search - Russia doesn't like Poroshenko either:

https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukrainian-president-wanted-arrest-warrant-zelenskyy-e9714751f2481575aaf8935b132e0f31

Quote

As of Saturday afternoon, both Zelenskyy and his predecessor, Petro Poroshenko, featured on the ministry’s list of people wanted on unspecified criminal charges. The commander of Ukraine’s ground forces, Gen. Oleksandr Pavlyuk, was also on the list.

Russian officials did not immediately clarify the allegations against any of the men.

interesting talk about weighing in whether to continue the war or not. Although it seems like that ship has already sailed in light of recent events. As the article mentions, some are saying to fight Putin while he is weak which is apparently now, a weakening economy and lack of conscripts for the war effort, rising inflation, apparently now will be a good time to continue the war if the EU Ukraine US go for peace through strength, so there will be no threat in the future.

I think we all know though where the current direction of events will go. Daniel 11:44,45 says the KOTN will come all the way to his end by Jehovahs hand. The KOTN has to be alive and well perhaps even unified with other world leaders when this part of the Daniel book is fulfilled.

Time for a history lesson, folks.

Sorry for the late reply, I was indisposed lol.

But here are some important facts I have thought about very carefully past few days:

The man I posted the pic of a few posts above is Sir Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister before Winston Churchill.

He said that quote (see about 9 or so posts above) after he had met with Hitler during the Munich Conference of 1938. It turned out to be one of the most empty statements of all time, as WWII broke out barely a year later.

These will be some long posts, so I will break it up into bite-size, manageable parts.

yeah. If I remember , they did that before WW1.. They signed a world treaty agreement but then WW1 happened.

sounds like similar today.

putin - trump peace talk. But what's on their mind? nuclear war? That's why Jehovah has to step in.

Russia is a primary KOTN but Iran, China... are its major allies. Either of them will end shorter than the others. Understanding individual behaviors will help us alot to see how the things will go further.

And yet, soon, they will come together and give the UN authority.  Today's headlines really have no bearing on how things play out. They will play by Jehovah’s rules whether they like it or not.

Trump often does big gestures as a negotiation tactic. Who knows if they'll leave at all, or if they will have big conditions for remaining/coming back? This could be interesting.

(Just for reflection.) With the unfolding of current events, Putin's and Trump's policies may eventually cause them to lose popular support. Without this support, both would have to leave the presidency, creating a leadership vacuum that would ultimately be filled by the United Nations.

That’s the request Trump makes

No longer waisting money in worthless organizations

UN needs money? Ok. Then make it work properly

I think this is a great moment in human history

If USA withdraws from NATO, Europe will become vulnerable

Solutions must come up FAST

i don’t think Trump lose power

but even if he does another will take his place because USA is the false prophet and will be pretty much “alive” untill Armageddon

As for UN to gain power… I think that the security council must be extinguished

I don’t see any better solution so far

and nobody wants to do it

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”
