Here is an interesting opinion from USA Today. They think that "Heightened tensions following the United States' June 21 attack on Iranian nuclear facilities has brought the specter of a military draft to the forefront of the minds of many."

Looks like it’s also Iraq and the UAE are being put on alert… this was bound to happen and I have a feeling that Iran will try to close the straits of Hormuz

I honestly expected Trump to announce a mandatory 2 year military requirement at the big celebration he had recently. A lot of countries have one.

Just a little history coincident with June dates. Operation Barbarossa June 22 1941. Assassination Archduke Ferdinand and his wife June 28 1914. This led to the war and the beginning of the Last Days as we know it today.

This latter date became the date of signing of the Treaty of Versailles 1919 which began the League of Nations which many feel led to the rise of Naziism.

The U.S. had that for many years. Many brothers spent as much as three years in prison over it. We had two brothers in our Congregation why were in prison because of that. My Uncle (live story in December 1, 1992 WT) also went to prison over that.

 

Candidly, I am thankful it is gone. I would not want brothers in the U.S. to have to go through what many of us older ones went through.
