Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

You live in a peaceful country and you cannot fully understand me. I live with the war for three and a half years and 11 years since it all started.

Jehovah protected my life 11 years ago, three years ago when I had to make a choice about which city to move to. I would not have survived if I had chosen the wrong city. But Jehovah knew which cities and areas would be safe.

I continue to trust in Jehovah, knowing that no matter how many air alarms and dangerous missiles were flying, he would save me.

My words may upset some, but let me give you an example: when a missile hit one of the houses, Jehovah miraculously saved the lives of my brother and his wife in the house next door. The glass windows flew into the room, but they survived. Does this not show that Jehovah can preserve the lives of his servants if he deems it necessary to do so in order to fulfill his will?

I am sure that he does.

Sounds miraculous to hear, and if it builds your faith, well then, who's to say otherwise... right?

We do all know of accounts where things turn out otherwise for Jehovah's servants in the present day when it comes to personal tragedies. Not to go into details but there have been examples on the Broadcast of this.

I for one have experienced "miraculous' events in the same sense you have described, but not due to war. One predates knowing Jehovah. The other I'll keep to myself.

You have seen firsthand Jehovah's salvation. Your experiences are moving and I do not see anyone here who disagrees.

I was sharing that Jehovah's arm is not short. If it is his will this is the last preaching campaign then who are we to say otherwise? The nations could give their power to the UN the day after tomorrow and the end of the Ukraine war could be the first sign of peace and security.

The Ukraine war will end. We should never feel the end is far off or that as long as this war continues then the end is not yet.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Nor will he, I think...and I agree, they are deeply moving and encouraging!

I fully agree with this statement...and I feel that while the focus should most definitely be on the good...the bad must be acknowledged as well.

Not everyone finds such safety in this system...brothers and sisters are still tortured and beaten...and over here some of the friends still wind up without a job and even homeless. (Even if it is just temporary)

Jehovah said it would be like this, and while it's important to dwell on and be up built by the times where things have gone right...it's equally important to acknowledge and more importantly, commiserate and offer real assistance to our brothers and sisters when things go terribly terribly wrong.

Why I don’t think ww3 will happen?

The scarlet beast was created after the ww1 as League of the Nations and then temporarily ceased to exist during ww2. The GB understood in the middle of it that the scarlet beast must be revived after the war and in fact it was as the UN. The Bible doesn’t mention any other „breaks” in its existence but that it will destroy BTG.

Now, I can’t think of a scenario where global war (that could be labeled as ww3) is raging AND the UN still operates. In case of ww3 the UN would be irrelevant even more that it is now do it would have been disbanded but the Bible doesn’t say it will happen.

🙏 Thank you! 🙏

I was thinking something similar to this when the discussion about WW3 started but you did a nice job of putting my thoughts into words.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”
