Is this the 1914 puzzle again?  The brothers made two mistakes in their calculations, but they were offsetting mistakes, leading to the correct date of 1914.

4026 (descending) + 2026 (ascending) = 6052

Are we already in the 7th millennial day?

I don't know what that is. We are 50 years into the 7th millennium, but the "day" part is confusing. Can you explain?

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

A thousand years for a day, a day for a thousand years.... I've always wondered if we should take 2 Peter 3:8 as literal. Did the thousand years mentioned in that verse really mean 1000 literal years, or did it mean an indefinitely long period of time?

Well, we do use that passage to help us identify 1914. Jehovah's Witnesses do take it literally.

But again, this has nothing to do with "days" - like the creative days - as each of those was of varying length with overlaps.

Did they count time in "Days" before the 'first' creative 'day'?

I think they "tracked time" in epochs, or eras of activity, not in the rotation of a planet that didn't yet exist. For instance, each creative day was defined by the creation of specific things, but those days probably overlapped, so it wasn't about how much literal time passed, but what happened during a period of time. They would have referred to "the time when grass began to sprout" or "the day when man was created" - these are epochs, not specific calendar years.

If that is how the Bible describes the creative days, we can assume they would track epochs before physical creation in a similar way. For instance:

-the time when God was alone

-the time when God and Jesus were alone

-the time when angels were created

These are all epochs when certain events took place, minus the calendar years that we are used to associating time with. We are now living in "the time of mankind's fall" and will soon see "the time man was restored" and then we will live in "the time mankind rejoined the universal family".

I think Jehovah described creation in "days" because he was trying to relate it to something we understood. I also think that after we have been alive for billions of years we will also refer to time more in relation to events and less about calendar years. Such as, "remember when that breed of apple spread to the southern region when we were visiting and we had the most delicious pies? instead of "remember in year XXXXXXXXº when we had pies?".
