Study Bible update

Good catch!

I searched "Disfellowship" on WTLIB and it still shows it twice, in the Study Note for 1Cor 5:5 and 5:13. Both Study Notes have been changed in the NWT on JWLIB as Hannah says.

JW.org and the WOL have updated both Study Notes

The Reference Bible still says "Disfellowship" twice in its Index on WTLIB, so we may get an update for it too.

It’s only because I was talking to my friend about the fact it still used the word disfellowshipped that I noticed 😅

I expect we will receive the study notes for Hebrews later this year.

I was wrong 😑 but I expect the remaining 6 chapters of Study notes for Hebrews and hopefully James will be during 2025, surely!

1 John 4:1 "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."

Maybe the words of Br. Harold Macmillan might be appropriate.  Prior to the assembly in October 1914, he had stated his belief that he would be going home to heaven shortly (a common belief among the Bible Students). He then stated that the talk he had given on that Wednesday would be the last talk the audience would hear from him.

Br. Russell changed the program and assigned him to speak on the following Sunday.  He based the talk on Psalms 74:9..."There are no signs for us to see; There is no longer any prophet, And no one among us knows how long this will last."

In the book “Faith on the March” he admitted the following…

Humility rewarded: Br Mcmillan still ended up making his last speech on earth.
