Unable to DL 1 Chronicles Audio

As I drive around, I like to listen to the reading for the week.

On my Android device, I can play and listen to the audio (using data streaming), but I just wish to DL (download) it.

I saw a discussion on the AM meeting thread, but I did not find a solution.

I can go to where the file 'should' be, but there is no audio file to DL.

I tried both JW site and the WOL site.

The JW site does not show Chronicles - it skips from Kings to Ezra.

The WOL site shows the 'headset' icon, but no file to DL...?

Is anyone else having this issue?

How did you get the audio on to your device?

The ZIP file is not available. You will need to download the MP3 files individually. (which are public, since they can be listened and there also is announcement that they are available.)

Is this within the JWL app? If so I had no issues downloading it.

I just went into the Bible and selected 1 Chronicles, and used the menu button and "download media"

Br. Jason, you are correct about files to download when you are inside the open Book pf 1 Chronicles. But there is no indication or availability to download any media files for this book from the whole bible. If you see there is no "headphones" on the 1 Chronicles book and you go to" media "files" from the Bible books page, it says there is no files available to download.

When you use the method you describe, there is still no "headphones" displayed on this bible book indicating that audio files can be accessed from the device without streaming. It works but not quite the same. thank you.

No. Not via the JWL app.

Oddly enough, I have been doing this for many years. This is the first time there is no zip file.

I am referring to my phone, which do not show the headphones icon, but this is the total files that are on my JWL Bible.

As Tony is using another app to play his audio files, then it doesn't really affect what his JWL app is doing.

ITs interesting IF I go to the screen that shows all the Bible books and select "Download Media" and then "Check" it says I have all the audio files at 1124, BUT If I go to the Bible book of 1 Chronicles and then select that again THEN it lets me download all 29 audio files. So, they are "available", but not through the usual way.

Before I did this it displayed 1124 audio files, but after it shows as above 1153.

Yes, mine is the same way - however, even though I can go to 1 Chronicles and play the audio files from inside the book - there are no "headphones" on the Book Name in the main menu

On JW site, under 'Bible' > download 'mp3', the books do not even show...

It skips from Kings to Ezra.

I cannot even get it from the WOL site...😢

Br. Jason, the headphones icon is related to available screen space. If I turn my cell phone to "landscape mode" (turn it sideways) the headphones appear on each of the Bible books (except 1 and 2 Chronicles.

Edit: my cell phone is an Iphone XS max.

I am using a PC - the above was copied directly from my screen in JW Library

Here is a copy of the entire screen with the Bible selected - please note, there are no headphones on 1 Chronicles

This is with the Book of 1 Chronicles open - notice the cloud icon

If I click on the cloud - notice there are 29 audio files and 29 chapters

If I open a chapter I get the "headphones" and can play the audio

Sadly mine doesn't show the icons in landscape. Moto G5S Plus XT1805

I realized by looking at your picture that I have poor eyesight and I have set the "text size" much larger than you have. I think that may be the difference.

This is how i downloaded the files

went to chapter 1 and right clicked on the audio bar
clicked on inspect
this side bar pops up
click the link in the side bar
then repeat for each chapter

But you aslo could go into the app on a PC and download them and the file will save to your Music folder.

I had already used the "work-around" to download the 29 files. But I noticed that the app put a "headphones" icon on the Bible book without making me download the files again. Thanks...❤️

The only book that does NOT have headphones on my JWL is 2 Chronicles.

I guess that could be the case - I really don't know how long it takes them to record, edit and assemble the various recordings into a completed book. They may have already been recorded and not yet edited.
