6 times a year we have to trade our meeting nights with one of the congregations that is having their CO visit that week.

Have you tried testing something involving the Congregation Events feature?

There is an event type called Meeting Day Change, there you can enter the date of the change and a description of the reason. After you create this event, check to see if it changes the schedule.

There are 3 congregations that share our Kingdom Hall & we rotate monthly for a congregation to do a deep clean & other small maintenance tasks. For our congregation when it's our turn, we're scheduled to meet on Saturday mornings, 7:30am. How can I schedule this on NWS to show for the friends on NWP?

I don't know if we can do that in the cleaning schedule. This schedule sets the standard for cleaning at meetings, weekly and quarterly.

But the Congregation Events feature can easily keep everyone informed about the cleanup on a specific date. Try creating an event with type Other, in the title say "Monthly Cleaning", add some description and set the date. Then see if the result will appear in a practical way for your need.

Do you

change your meetings?

or is this a scheduled cleaning assignment?

we have a document on the information board which has the cleaning assignments …including date and time

We don't change our meetings, these are scheduled cleaning assignments. Our congregation is scheduled to do a deep clean of the KH early Saturday mornings for the months of January, April, July & October. Our meetings are on Sundays & Wednesdays.

hoping for the new territory options to drop soon, so maybe we can leave territoryhelper behind us, if it has the same functionality that would be great, than its all in 1 program.

Greets,

I certainly want to consolidate and make the best use of dedicated funds too, but I have nothing bad to say about Territory Helper. They were and continue to be a great tool.

Would love to have the ability to assign territories remotely at some point if possible.

Oh 😯, so you can't assign from the JW Publisher app currently? If so, that's a pretty big limitation.

Not currently. I have to wait until I get to my laptop to assign territories out. There's no option to do so outside of NWS at this point. The latest build came with an announcement of future territory enhancements. Hopefully one of the future updates will include being able to assign territories via the NWP app for territory servants.

Have you ever considered using a remote tool like Chrome Remote Desktop to access your windows device from your phone or tablet? It can be a little clunky from a phone but it has saved me multiple times when I need to access JWS when I'm out and about.

If publishers are putting in their away dates for vacation, where do you see that when making the midweek schedule?  Asking for my husband. 😊 He’s had two tell him recently they put their vacation in but when he’s making the schedule, nothing is coming up for him.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

When Publishers send there away period, the data needs to be imported in the Program first. This is done in the NW Publisher app section / Receive App Data and then select the Data and the Person(s). Import. Then go to the Schedule section. Select a week to schedule. When you select a certain assignment, the names appear. When someone is not available that week a red triangle with an exclamation mark appears in front of the name.

I was wondering if there is a way for publishers to turn in their report early? Let's say they want to turn it in on the 25th of the month because they are going to be away for the next few weeks and they don't want to have to think about this task anymore.

i tried - to turn in 2 days early....and was unable

i was going to be away from internet (often the case on an island or a boat) ....and already had more hours than i could report...

so i tried to submit this early --- rather than worry about being late

even got with the Cong App admin and we could not figure it out...

so i dont think its possible

...but  if anyone ever does ...let me know

It is not possible via the app.  However the secretary can use the full PC version to enter in the time manually early.

Looking at the circuits listed in our "Public Speaker Sharing" in NWS, there still appears to be quite the confusion as to what congregations should be listing as their circuit number. NWS clearly states that all congregations should NOT include different sides of a circuit in the Circuit Name (ie: "A" or "B"), since it's the same circuit.

I don't have any further information from the branch on how circuits are setup, etc but on the website, under "circuit", they do have an "A" or "B" listed.

I'm ok with us using CA-17 but the "Public Speaker Sharing" is a bit messy with all the different circuit name formats. Too many congregations to contact & see if they could follow the directions on NWS.

That's what happens when people don't read and just try to figure stuff out on their own.  We are in the situation where there are TWO of the same exact circuit.  We have about 12 in ours and 4 in the duplicate one.  One would logically assume people would notice the 2 and choose the one with more in them, but here we are....  -_-

How can the group overseer or publisher turn in an old report from say 2 months ago?

Not possible for the publisher.

You can give the overseer rights to edit his group's field service reports.  But as far as the publisher goes, they cannot do that at this time.

I made this mistake initially as well and found it frustrating. In my mind, that was the way the Branch has us listed so I was trying to follow that. But eventually I did see the direction and the reasoning that sections (A,B,C...) are still all in the same circuit and that for the sake of scheduling speakers, the differentiation isn't useful. I've been slowly fixing it from our end and now I believe all of our Circuit's congregations are listed together under the correct format. Now if we can just get the talk coordinators to switch from KHS to JWS... 🙄
