Do Humans age most at 34, 60 or 78 years of age?

Recommended Posts

I saw this on a Youtube quiz today and I guessed 60. The "correct" answer was 34 which surprised me. I have always said 34 would be the perfect age for me in the new system. Maybe I will back it up to 32-33! "While we’re always aging in some form, 34 is generally seen as the year people age the most, because scientist see that as the first year we truly do age. Before that point, our bodies are still in a developmental stage, but 34 is a time where noticeable declines in fertility, muscle growth, hair growth and more happen."-from the youtube quiz author.

I did a general google search and on snopes.com:

"A study suggested that humans experience periods of accelerated aging around 34, 60, and 78 years old.

Rating:Mostly True

About this rating

What's True

Scientific research has demonstrated that some proteins found in human blood change with age in a non-linear fashion. The most noticeable changes occur on average around the ages of 34, 60, and 78.

What's False

There is no universally accepted way to describe aging, so presenting one study as the final word on the topic is misguided."

"An April 15, 2021, a TikTok video produced by ASAPScience asserted that bursts of aging occur at different periods during a person's life. According to the video, these bursts occur at ages 34, 60, and 78:

Now, we don’t exactly know why this happens, but what researchers have found out is that at those ages, there’s around 1300 proteins in the blood that suddenly change.

So up until 34, they’re relatively stable and consistent. And then there’s a big change. And then between 34 and 60, it’s consistent again. And then another big change. The same goes for 78.

In fact, scientists are able to predict people’s ages within a few years just by looking at their blood."

I wonder if this why Jesus was the perfect sacrifice at age 33 1/2 years of age? Just speculation on my part.

That being said what age would you like to be forever in the new system? I think I will go with 33.

"Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight"-Psalms 119:143 NIV Translation.

I think I'll go with 24 years of age. Because after that, I started losing my hair and my mind.  Or did marrying my wife do that?

Age has always been strange in my life.  When I was about 42. someone told me he thought I was about 28.  When I was 45 I showed a picture of my daughter to someone.  She was about 14 years of age in the picture.  I was told that I was not old enough to have a daughter that age.  45 is not old enough to have a 14-year-old child?

Again at about 45 years old, I once mentioned my 20-year-old daughter and 19-year-old son to someone.  They asked if they were my wife's by a previous marriage.  It is not unusual for someone to guess my age at about 15 to 20 years younger than I actually am.

In the new system, I will accept whatever age.  It will undoubtedly be the perfect age for me.  Jehovah is choosing it.  My actual age will not matter.

I'm 34 now so maybe I will start looking at the mirror more often to keep track of my changes,so far I think I've noticed my nasolabial folds furrowing deeper,I'm not sure if its because of aging or just that I smile too often.

Although I really don't expect I will change much at aging,I think only people that have much body fats really look different when they age,I am quite lanky, but it will be interesting to see how I change though.

I was once told by an optometrist that your eyes do not change when you are in your 30s.  If you do not need glasses at the age of 30, you won't need them until after you are age 40.

My information does not answer the question, but this topic reminded me of something I was told about 3 years ago. I do electrical construction work and one of my customers was a research lab working on the whole subject of human aging/death. They were spending a great deal of money on lab equipment like centrifuges, electron microscopes, etc., to study the human body. I found it interesting that one of the biologists I worked with called himself a "believer", in that he did believe in a supreme creator. I had some interesting conversations with him and learned that, according to their research, normal human life follows this pattern:

1. Form birth to about 25 years old, the body is growing, maturing, developing and strengthening an immune system.

2. From about 25 years old to about 55 years old, the body is in stasis mode. That is, not much changing in regards to further development, or aging.

3. After the stasis period, the body starts to degrade in physical and mental performance, and is more susceptible to developing diseases, and is heading downhill toward death.

Certainly, there are exceptions to the above, but is sounds right by observations I have made thru the years.

Their goal is to find some genetic alterations which could be made to slow the aging process and extend the average life span of humans. Although much of his description of their work and findings is over my head, I found it fascinating to consider how much time and money they are spending to find what we could teach them about causes of human death for free.

Well, I'll be 56 at the end of November....

I can attest, my mind is nowhere near as sharp as it was.

Come on Kingdom!

People who look young for their age 'live longer'

People blessed with youthful faces are more likely to live to a ripe old age than those who look more than their years.

The researchers also found a plausible biological explanation for their results.

Key pieces of DNA called telomeres, which indicate the ability of cells to replicate, are also linked to how young a person looks.

Perceived age, which is widely used by clinicians as a general indication of a patient's health, is a robust biomarker of ageing that predicts survival among those aged over 70

A telomere of shorter length is thought to signify faster ageing and has been linked with a number of diseases.

In the study, the people who looked younger had longer telomeres.

People tell me I look younger than 69 but health wise I'm not doing so well. Maybe I have 'AB' blood type. So the above hypothesis may have to be adjusted to include other variables.

I will be 80 the end of next month. I decided to seek out something to hełp my poorʼ tired brain. Yes, piłłs. Iʼve been taking these pills for a coupłe of months now. A bit pricy, but, well, here goes. I really really enjoy word games. “Word Master”.
Iʼve felt, subłly they were helping. Then it dawned on me. Iʼm winning almost all the games Iʼm płaying with this game. It was not that way when I started płaying kt a few months ago.

It may be a big fat cooincidence, but, i think i wiłl keep taking them, as we sail into the ńew system. Then, i sort of think, Jehovah will step in.

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!

Many confuse length of years and physical deterioration, e.g difficulty some have in accepting the age of pre-flood humans.

Whilst age and deterioration go hand-in-hand in this old, sinful system, it probably isn't possible to imagine what a fully developed, perfect, physical body, unimpacted by inherited sin, is like. Certainly nothing like the average 33yr. old today. And this is before we start talking about wisdom and maturity!

Thanks for the tip, the incomparable Miss Bea. Really looks interesting. I really need a game to stem my cognitive decline. I'm just 10 years younger than you and really in a bad shape, healthwise.

I agree with the opinion that old age comes after 30. I used to walk around my apartment in a T-shirt and couldn't find it. I was late for a meeting, so I got my wife involved in the search. My wife is 3 years younger than me, she had not had time to grow old by that time and immediately pointed out that my body was missing. Old age is no fun! 🤣

I turned 87 today and the first thing that greeted me was a voicemail with no speaking, and an attachment. I know, I never open them for an unidentified number but it came from an area where my son had just had serious heart surgery and I thought it may either be him or the hospital. It was neither, but the first time ever I received a pornograhic video !!  Of course I blocked the sender but it’s harder to block it out of my mind! But with prayer I know I will. 🙏 When you get to my age nothing much shocks you anymore, sad to say. 🫣😳

One small crack doesn't mean you are broken; it means that you were put to the test and didn't fall apart..
