US Gas prices - up or down?

Sorry to highjack this thread but the University of Nevada Reno had a Fire Science Academy in Carlin, next to Elko NV.

I found a video that shows what we did for fire training each year.

I didn’t watch the video before I commented. But that was it. One experience we had was the school cleaned the SCBA masks but didn’t rinse them properly. After we ran a few scenarios on a one ton chlorine cylinder we noticed folks were getting red rings on there face where the masks fit. Fortunately no burns from the ammonia cleaners they were using to disinfect. Couldn’t drink the fountain water on site

I just noticed this.

I pray for no new refineries. I grew up about a half mile from a Clark Oil refinery (Blue Island, Illinois) in the 1970s. It was absolutely horrible- the smoke pollution, the smell.. 🤢🤮 I was so happy to see it shut down. Long after we'd moved away from there, but still..

It is unimaginable and disgusting that the government or anyone believes that rebuilding those factories will make life better for anyone. They were a blight.

because it was supplied by underground well water that was contaminated.

I had to Google it but there hasn't been a new oil refinery built in the US in nearly 50 years. But that doesn't determine the total gasoline production. Refineries can expand their capacity and gasoline production. So if you decide to research it, look for the total gasoline production each year over the last few years.

New refinery going in at Brownsville Tx.

It was an awesome field. State of the art. BUT they did not build it to spec. They missed a layer of underlining and shut it down. They told us we were the last class to use it due to benzene contamination. Not sure if they reopened it.

I heard the same thing. I heard the reclaimed water pond was leaking. It's closed now..
