Common knowledge is, by definition, the exact opposite of unknown to the public.ย

You are quite correct.

I now see common knowledge is like common sense...

It is only understandable by those that discern the meaning.ย  It's a bit like the 'signs of the times'. (imo)

Many 'see' it, but few understand the meaning.

See Matt 24:39

The next few months? Can you put a number to that - 3,4,6, 50 months?

ย

I wouldn't mind having advanced notice of the total financial collapse

Man! Some sarcasm here . Lol Im with Leola Root Stew on this one.ย

ย Well, I remember a talk at an assembly bout 5 years ago where Brother Herd said...and in the next few months when the Great Tribulation breaks out.ย

ย The same question could be applied, did brother Herd mean 3,4,6, 50 months ? How bout that the Great Tribulation is imminent?ย

ย She was just using an expression to get a thought across.ย

ย

The United States went through a great depression in the 1930s of financial collapse. Yet the United States was still in operation. Is how I see it.ย

ย It could happen again.ย

Interestingโ€ฆ..ย

In an interview withย Fox & Friendsย a short while ago, secretary of stateย Marco Rubioย telegraphed the presidentโ€™s speech at the general assembly today, while taking jabs at the organization at large. โ€œItโ€™s just a place where once a year a bunch of people meet and give speeches and write out a bunch of letters and statements but not a lot of good, important action is happening,โ€ he said. โ€œI think itโ€™s emblematic of how feckless the UN has become as an organization.โ€

Rubio added that he thinks the president will โ€œchallenge the UN to find its meaning and its purpose and its utility as an organization because it doesnโ€™t seem to be doing the jobโ€.

It's behind a paywall for most, but the Aussie SMH media outlet has a summary of Trump's speech. I can practically smell the flowers of the New Word now lol. Only joking re: a 1975 JW quote.

ย

โ€˜Your countries are going to hellโ€™: Trump stuns UN with tirade on immigration, climate โ€˜hoaxโ€™

Quote

ย

In part - "US President Donald Trump used the global stage of the United Nations to lecture the world on the โ€œdisasterโ€ of unchecked immigration and the โ€œcon jobโ€ of climate change in a defiant and at-times threatening address that asserted American dominance and put other leaders on notice.

ย

Trump urged the nations present, particularly Europe, to control their borders and preserve their sovereignty, and argued that what made the world beautiful was not a mix of peoples and cultures but โ€œthat each country is uniqueโ€.

ย

โ€œYour countries are going to hellโ€: US President Donald Trump pulled no punches with other world leaders.

โ€œIllegal aliens are pouring into Europe. Itโ€™s not sustainable. And because they choose to be politically correct, theyโ€™re doing absolutely nothing about it,โ€ he said.

โ€œProud nations must be allowed to protect their communities and prevent their societies being overwhelmed by people they have never seen before with different customs, religions โ€“ with different everything.

ย

โ€œBoth the immigration and their suicidal energy ideas will be the death of Western Europe if something is not done immediately.โ€

Trump spoke of his success in shutting down the USโ€™s southern border and implored Europe to follow his lead. โ€œIโ€™m really good at this stuff,โ€ he said. โ€œYour countries are going to hell.โ€

ย

The US president used the global stage of the United Nations to lecture the world on the "failed experiment" of open borders.

The US president made an example of multicultural London, again condemning its Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan. โ€œNow they want to go to Sharia law,โ€ Trump said. โ€œBut youโ€™re in a different country, you canโ€™t do that.โ€

ย

In an equally strong diatribe on what he incorrectly called the โ€œhoaxโ€ of climate change, Trump railed against renewable energy, windmills and solar panels.

โ€œIt used to be global cooling โ€ฆ They said global warming will kill the world, but then it started getting cooler. So now they just call it climate change,โ€ he said. โ€œIf it goes higher, lower, whatever the hell happens, thereโ€™s climate change. Itโ€™s the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world, in my opinion.โ€

ย

Trump said the dire predictions about global warmingโ€™s impact on the earth were made by โ€œstupid peopleโ€ who had cost their countries a fortune in economic growth.

ย

โ€œIโ€™m really good at predicting things,โ€ he said, citing a popular MAGA hat and T-shirt slogan that says: Trump Was Right About Everything.

โ€œI donโ€™t say that in a braggadocios way, but itโ€™s true - Iโ€™ve been right about everything. And Iโ€™m telling you that if you donโ€™t get away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail.

ย

"He accused the UN of foisting open borders, climate change policies and multilateral agreements upon developed nations, and said he had proudly withdrawn the US from the โ€œfakeโ€ Paris Climate Accord.

โ€œThe carbon footprint is a hoax made up by people with evil intentions, and theyโ€™re heading down a path of total destruction.โ€

ย

โ€œThe entire globalist concept of asking successful industrialised nations to inflict pain on themselves and radically disrupt their entire societies must be rejected completely and totally, and it must be immediate.โ€

ย

"He shamed Europe for continuing to buy Russian oil and gas and โ€œfunding the war against themselvesโ€ - although the European Commission says import bans currently cover 90 per cent of Russian oil.

โ€œEurope has to step it up. They canโ€™t be doing what theyโ€™re doing. Theyโ€™re buying oil and gas from Russia while theyโ€™re fighting Russia. Itโ€™s embarrassing to them,โ€ Trump said.

โ€œThey have to immediately cease all energy purchases from Russia. Otherwise, weโ€™re all wasting a lot of time โ€ฆ Iโ€™m sure theyโ€™re thrilled to hear me speak about it, but thatโ€™s the way it is, I like to speak my mind.โ€

Thank you for this video, Dawn.

Perhaps there is no more chilling explosion than that which occurs in the mastery of words, of language. The calm of anger can be as destructive as its explosion and here, The King of Jordan is very, very calm.

There are not many speakers at the UN with the oratorical abilities of King Abdullah, but these fine words do not solve problems of human suffering. Listening to his speech is another reminder of why we need, and can only benefit from, the Kingdom of God under Jesus and his anointed corulers.ย

I always find it interesting when some speakers can so clearly state the problems, the inhumanity and even the ideas of solutions. Of course, even if the ideas are good, you cannot succeed because you cannot force it on others without becoming that which you despise.ย

The president of Finland also had some interesting words about the difference in little countries versus big ones. And he laid out his speech in a very clear, step by str approach.ย
They are working hard to try to figure it out. Canโ€™t wait for Jehovahโ€™s โ€œthoughtโ€ to be talked about one day! Of course they will give themselves all the credit.ย

To be fair, Jehovah's going to make them believe it's their own thought. They honestly won't know any better.ย

Phillipians 4:8ย Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.ย

After hearing some speakers from U.N. this week a believe that soil is fertile for Jehovah to plant a thought as they all call for reform of U.N. and are not happy about performance of it. So Jehovah does not have to make a total overhaul of their minds so to speak as they are pursuing greater significance and authority for the U.N. regardless. Jehovah will give them โ€œ gentleโ€ push in this matter.ย

I think the meeting will be at Quantico, VA.

In any case, the military has very secure teleconference capabilities, and making commanders travel from all points on the planet to attend in person "isn't the way we do things", according to one person.

ย

Maybe the Secretary of Defense, Department of War, Pete Hegseth, is under the influence of Trump's penchant for showmanship?ย  It will certainly be interesting to learn what it's all about.ย  ย  ย  ย

Theories range from receiving a briefing on the state of the Defense Department, to a mass firing of officers, to war, etc. The news isย  reporting that regardless of the reason the sudden convening of so many senior military officers is highly unusual.ย  I've heard some speculate that perhaps it has something to do with the possible government shut down. Right now it seems to be anyone's guess.ย  ย But the days we're living in....???

With a regular stream of news articles along the lines of: โ€œAsteroid Might Possibly Hit Earth!โ€ I watched a video regarding what could actually be done to blow up or deflect such an asteroid.

Rather than the nations clubbing together to solve the problem it suggested it was more likely a rich nation that was in danger would try to deflect the asteroid just enough to make it some other nationโ€™s problem!

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13
