  1. Watching this video, seeing the Archbishops clothing, the first thing I thought of was the pharisee's clothing, especially the headwear.
  2. I am sadden to see there are some, who feel "left out" or sadden by these things. Jehovah never wants any of us to stand out or dare I say feel puffed up with pride because of this. Nor does he want any of us to feel hurt by being able to pioneer or be an elder or MS. At one time our Cong of about 80 publishers had only one lone pioneer. So you can imagine she needed all the help she could get in going out in service during the week. I want to be a pioneer, because I am semi-retired. I know I have the time I can dedicate to Jehovah. I also know that if I'm not pioneering, "I" will fall into the mode of ...."oh I can take today off I can go do this instead" So for me its helping me to push myself to do more for Jehovah. Because if I don't push myself, then I will take days off that I'm just going to lay around the house. At the same time I've gone thru periods of "ohh I just can't do it, I can come off the list" (this system wears on all of us, none of us can do what we did before) Soo please, please, remember Jehovah loves ALL of us. As far as "this system wearing on all of us" I tell everyone that says that, "your not old enough yet. Wait till you get a little older (in the New World) then you'll be old enough."
  3. Our meeting was yesterday. It was called "Pioneer Pig Out' 6 of our elders were there, with their wifes, 3 were not feeling well. Our spouses or room mates came, for the Pig Out. The focus of our meeting was Our Health, Balanced in our responsibility, and focusing on Jehovah and our ministry. One brother brought out that if each of us, the 9 elders, the ?? MS and everyone's wife asked just one person a month to go out in the ministry with us that would be a total of 81 people and we have 82 or 83 publishers. A few brought little gifts, and of course the "Yankee Swap" was a success. Elders received two cups. We had a great time and it was FUN, just to get together and laugh. The food was AWESOME. Lots were left over so my lunch today is Mexican Salad.
  4. Ours will be this Sat at a Bro and Sis's house. All are contributing to the food, we're doing a "yankee swap" (which the gifts have already been provided, Hmmmmm 💭) and we did get a couple of little things for a little gift bag for the pioneers, but we also splurged on a gift for our elders. Whom we really do appreciate for all their hard work. Next to find something for the MS. Ohhh and they call it the "Pioneer Pig Out" 🤣 which this year is Mexican Food. Since I love everyone there I will not be cooking... I'm bringing the paper plates. 🤣
  5. This is the truth. What news channel do you watch? One news channel favors Trump and only puts him in a good light. Another news channel will only favor Harris and put her in a good light. I do not believe any of the channels tell the whole truth.
  6. The Pioneer Meetings with our congregations will begin in a few months. I'm looking for ideas for gifts. We've had a sister make tract holders out of cloth, and one year she made notebook holders out of cloth. . I've ordered key chains and "sorry I missed you" pads, for a little gift basket but I'd like ideas on something else to make to add to the bags. What is your Congregation doing this year?
  7. I hope I'm not posting out of context but I saw a news caption on Foxnews this morning, then found this article AMA plots move on taxpayer-funded uterus transplants for biological men | Washington Examiner so apparently it's been in the works for a bit, I'm just now hearing of it.
  8. I’ve tried keto and feel so much better when I avoid the sugar and flour. I started IF by doing 12 hours starting with my last meal about 5 pm. Then I try fasting for 12 hours. The next day 13 hrs. Then 14. The longest I’ve fasted was three and half days, (only once and that was after being sugar and flour free for a month before this) But I slip up and have to struggle to give up the sugar again. I appreciate everyone’s comments about research for yourself because it’s not a one fit all. What worked for you, might not work for me but I really appreciate all the comments.
  9. All this talk and encouragement to get and stay close to our brothers and sisters made me think of those who are still inactive, who keep in touch here and there with the friends or even just on social media. How sad it will be for them, because they might have the feeling now of not belonging but how are they going to feel then. So how much more we should try to encourage them now.
  10. I use Service Planner for myself My husband uses My Time
  11. I’m ok with what ever universal language we have but I would like to keep all the languages especially since I’m now the learning Russian
  12. Everything is going up. Food, Fuel Utilities. Probably most think this is the new norm so they're dealing the best they can. I haven't really heard anyone say anything to the effect of "prices going lower"
  13. I'm using duolingo.com. You can add friends and cheer each other on. they have a free or a paid account.
  14. Ohhh wait, Michelle (is it) YES!!!! I'm jealous. You live in the beautiful state of Florida while I'm here with snow and ice in Maine. 😘
