{{ MODERATOR WARNING: When he says "sick on so many levels", he means it. The grandmother carried the sleeping infant boy on a white pillow toward the synagogue’s altar, and passed him to her son. Her son carried the infant toward the mohel, or Jewish ritual circumciser, who stood amid a cluster of chanting men.

The mohel lifted the infant’s clothing to expose his tiny penis. With a rapid flick of a sharp two-sided scalpel, the mohel sliced off the foreskin and held it between his fingers. Then he took a sip of red wine from a cup and bent his head. He placed his lips below the cut, around the base of the baby’s penis, for a split second, creating suction, then let the wine spill from his mouth out over the wound.

RARE in most forms of Judaism.

DISCUSTING!

And disgusting.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Theres a lot of horrid stuff that goes on. I understand how shocking it is.

I look at my 3 beautiful kids & thank Jehovah many times a day.

how he has given us these precious gifts.

Satans world is so discusting.

We are all affected by it somehow & upset by what happens.

Thats why we need each other to build up each other. Thats what I see.

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."

And yet, even though we are a community moderated forum, nobody reported it.

Yes, I should have. May we close it now, as it has very little upbuilding value and don't see any value for future discussion, thank you.

Discusting as it may be, I'm glad I stumbled across it. For one thing, it shows how little holiness is left in what was once Jehovah's chosen people. For another, it seems to me to be another step towards the devastation of the whore, one that I wasn't aware of.

EDIT: Having said that, a warning would have been in order, I agree fully with that!

You see, people always talk about sexual abuse and religion as if it only happens in the churches and christendom. There is hardly any public knowledge of the link between sexual abuse of children and islam or judaism.

In that sense, this story is outrageous! This guy publically admits to having sexually abused hundreds of infants a year and it's all just part of the gig!

Interestingly, this seems to be a pharasaic tradition leant on the Talmud...

Um I wouldn't call it sexual abuse, quirky, weird and gross but not sexual abuse. It is a religious tradition that is done in front of family and onlookers. If we were to call this sexual abuse then what about all those in the bible who were circumcised? We're they sexually abused? I would not say they were. Some think it is genital mutilation of male children yet it was an accepted Jewish tradition for many many years one that was required by our God.

This may be a weird and what we Christians view as a bit gross practice and even dangerous as the article proves but I wouldn't go so far to say sexual abuse.

Micah 4:5 ......"we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever."

John 15:13 "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends."

There's circumcision, then there's weird and gross sexual abuse, and in my opinion, this is the latter.

Many Witnesses live semi-isolated lives, so they tend to view worldly ones, and even religions, as good people simply cheering for the wrong team.

As horrible as these cases are, sometimes we need a sharp reminder about how evil Satan's world truly is. And as these evil acts are revealed, it only increases the public outcry for the UN to put a stop to these religions.

We try not to choke our members right to speak freely, but when multiple members report the same post, it'll gets hidden until the moderators are available to address the issue. This is community moderation at work. When a topic gets hidden in this manner, we require majority agreement among moderators on how to handle it, whether that means leaving it hidden, or editing it and unhiding it and marking it so that it doesn't get hidden again.

Oh no. I so wished I had not clicked on that link. A warning would have been good.

Now that's also community moderation at work. Had you reported that post and made that comment, the topic might have gotten hidden depending on how many others reported it. At the very least, the original post could have been edited to give such a warning, which I shall now do. Thank you :)

Thank you very much for looking into the matter and considering the feelings of many here. We don't need to SEE filth to know it Stinks.

I now realize how important, beneficial and valuable the "Report" feature can be.

Thanks also to the other Mods who felt this way too.
