Michael Jackson's Music

Recommended Posts

Personally, I avoid his music. He disassociated himself as one one Jehovah's Witnesses just when I started studying. I read some secular stories about and interviews with him at the time, and he was very critical about the Witnesses.  Later, after publicly supporting and participating in a number of other religions, he gave an interview that could not have been true. A CO shared it with us when I was pioneering. Mr. Jackson stated that he was still a pioneer and put on a fat suit and went out the mandatory 90 hours per month. At that time the pio hourly requirement was 70. The CO was with the pios for our small December meeting. He said "What would you say to some one who asked you if M.Jackson is one of Jehovah's Witness. I said,"Beat it."  The COs suggested answer is that there were millions of witnesses and we don't know every one of them.  I was never much of a fan of the Jackson Five. At a very very early age, I developed a dislike for parents who put their children into Show Business and turned away from child acts.

I am with you, on this score. Michael Jackson let Satan lead  him down the garden path, and his parents were the guides!

When Michael played at the Silverdome in Pontiac, the newspapers wrote a piece, with pictures, that stated his whole family attended a convention. Don't recall the year, but he was young teen, then? Not sure.

I have listened to some of the Jackson's (from the family).

I personally judge music for what it is and make personal decisions on music on a case by case basis.

I came in the truth around Sister's Pauline time frame - in the mid 1980s.

"there was Jehovah’s word for him, and it went on to say to him: “What is your business here, E·lijah?" To this (Elijah) he said: “I have been absolutely jealous for Jehovah the God of armies"- 1 Kings 19:9, 10 Reference Bible

Ecclesiastes 7:21 "..., do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak," - Reference Bible
