What do you brothers and sisters think about that "pixie" haircut ?
Is it appropriate for a true christian?  Do you have any sister with this haircut in your KH?

I think it looks very nice on some people.

We have a sister in our Hall with hair shorter than mine. It is almost "shaved" it is so short. She is the wife of an Elder (he is the KOBE)

It would be a shame if someone looked at her and complained about her hair - it is as it is because she is going through cancer treatment.

So, all thins considered, that pixie is much longer than hers. As long as it does not look "mannish" I see nothing wrong with it.

Oh, man! If one has the head and face for it, those cuts are intensely feminine and gorgeous !  Think Halle Berry, too ..

Just as long as it can be feminine. We were at a business where we had to spend way more time then we'd have liked, and the receptionist, well, I didn't pay much attention to, until I realized she was female. To look at her, you would think she was a male. Attractive enough, but hair cut as a male, no make up, etc, that tended towards feminity. She appeared as a man. We do not want that. I sort of think we know when we have crossed the line. We know the difference. Personally, I think short hair cuts can be feminine.

Who is that in the top picture? ..(never mind,  I found it. She was in Firefly, a neat little sci fi series I really liked)

I know she's an actress,  I can't remember where I've seen her before. ..(Serenity /Firefly )

As for the style,  if you like it,  that's most of the answer as far as I feel ..

As Miss Bea said, there is a line that is too far,  we know where it is and we don't cross it..

Van, that looks very nice.

At one point while I was in the world I let my hair get pretty long. I just wanted to see what it was like,  I prefer it short as well. ..

I really like that style, and have tried it out a couple of times. Both times I got (unsolicited) comments, a few were downright negative. One was very judgemental, something about women's crown is her hair etc, shaming her husband, etc.

I went from long hair to short, and it was such a radical change that even my toddler was shocked at first (we laugh about her reaction now). But I also was complemented.  There was nothing I did wrong in having it cut so short, but people have their opinions and will voice it.

Today, I don't think you'll have this reaction as much as it is a very pretty cut. But just in case, be prepared for negative comments.

Back when I worked at a pizza place, as a cook and asst manager, we had all male cooks. After some time the owner hired some female cooks. One of these women had long enough hair that she did not look like a man, However, she was a bit heavy set and looked like she had some mussels. Actually she did have some upper build because, before she worked for us, she had worked in a tire store changing and mounting tires.

The point is, while we were working together she told me how tired she got that people thought she was a lesbian - just because she was heavy and did not have what many thought was a "feminine shape". She was married and had a child.

Keep in mind, she did not try to dress as a man. She did not wear her hair in a "man's style" - yet still, because of the work she did and her heavy build, many thought she was a lesbian.

Things like this are part of the reason the FDS keep reminding us that, at times, "clothes DO make the man", so to speak. Our grooming and attire does have an impact on how we are perceived.

It is a shame that even some in the Truth jump to conclusions - even when others are "properly and modestly" dressed - because they have some preconceived idea of what is and isn't proper and try to measure others to their standards - whether their standards are correct or not.

Just like the girl I worked with all those years ago who was unfairly judged due to her build, some judge a brother with a beard and a sister with short hair.

I like their haircuts. I just don't like the unnatural colors. I think most women look better with their natural hair color.

Audrey Hepburn always had this hair cut it was feminine and I really liked it. As been mentioned it's expensive to maintain .  but in my estimation very acceptable and cute.

How do most in your area  Svetlana  wear their hair ? That being said we are all individuals our tastes vary .....my mom always used to say " People will always have an opinion , if you buy a black car they think it should be a red one . You can't  please other people you have to do what's best for you "

Enjoy your new haircut sis if you decide to go that way ....and the beauty of hair is it will always grow back.

One of the things pops would say, regarding me complaining about a haircut..

He would ask if I knew the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut.

"Two weeks "...

Thanks pops....
