You can hear it pronounced on Youtube. It's not actually the longest place name tho, but there's longer.

Yeah I broke a thread one day using the longest name (one from New Zealand) in its title.

Ooops N isn't it?

That place is a few vowels short of pronouncability.

In Welsh (Cymraeg) there are 7 vowels. Apart from the normal English ones there are W and Y. Welsh is a phonetic alphabet so once you learn how to pronounce the letters, you're sorted.

That place name is a lovely area in the island of Môn (or Anglsey as the English like to call it) and is usually shortened to Llanfair PG and is actually made up of lots of different words that mean:  Parish [church] of [St.] Mary (Llanfair) [in] Hollow (pwll) of the White Hazel [township] (gwyn gyll) near (go ger) the rapid whirlpool (y chwyrn drobwll) [and] the parish [church] of [St.] Tysilio (Llantysilio) with a red cave ([a]g ogo[f] goch).

I took my Welsh exams not far from there. The first time I visited Pwlhelli we were looking for the KH and ended up following a load of people who were going to chapel, as they were all dressed smartly like JWs and that's not something you see where I'm from in England, even back then in the 90s!

It's bigger on the inside!

Deltona, Florida

Deltona is a city in the U.S. state of Florida and the most populous city in Volusia County. It was originally located about halfway between Daytona and Deland - thus the name Deltona.

However, here is an interesting part of the city's history.

The city was originally established as a planned residential community, and was master-planned and developed in 1962. The community rapidly grew from a small subdivision to becoming one of largest cities in Central Florida by the end of the 20th century, largely in part by worldwide marketing efforts showcasing small, low maintenance homes offered at affordable prices.

That's right, it started as a neighborhood - and it is not the only city here in Florida to be that way.

Goshen- land of Goshen is named in the Bible as the place in Egypt given to the Hebrews by the pharaoh of Joseph, and the land from which they later left Egypt at the time of the Exodus. It was located in the northeastern Delta of the Nile.

When Joseph's family came to escape the famine in Canaan and live in Egypt, they settled in an area called Goshen, also referred to as the land of Rameses       Genesis 45:10; 47:11

Holopaw

Holopaw is an unincorporated community in Osceola County, Florida, United States. It is located at the eastern end of the multiplex of highways US 192 and US 441. It has a population of fewer than 5,000 people and is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Holopaw, a Creek Indian word meaning "Walkway" or "Pavement", was a stop along the Kissimmee Valley extension of the FEC railroad. JM Griffin began a sawmill operation here in 1923, building streets and houses for his employees. Holopaw was a company owned town, with most employees renting their homes and frequenting the factory owned general store. The JM Griffin Lumber Company became the largest operation in the St Cloud area, employing over 500 people. It also featured one of the first all-electric sawmills in the country. The mill lasted until 1931, closing during the Great Depression. A new mill owned by the Peavy-Wilson Lumber Co. opened in 1935, employing more than one thousand timber, turpentine, and sawmill workers. At the town's peak it had more than 2,000 people. When the railroad line was discontinued, the mill closed, bringing an end to the town. Most residents left to seek employment elsewhere, and the postal service was discontinued in 1954.

In reality, today it is just an intersection with one convenience store and a local eatery - a few years back I used to go there once a month for work
