Hallandale Beach, Florida, USA

Hallandale Beach (formerly known simply as Hallandale) is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is named after Luther Halland, the son of a Swedish worker for Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad.[1] As of the 2010 census, the population was 37,113.
The city is known as the home of Gulfstream Park (horse racing and casino) and Mardi Gras Casino, a greyhound racing track which hosts the World Classic.

Back in the early 1970's, when it was still called Hallandale (before they added "beach"), we used the race track for Conventions. I attended an International Convention there while I was a Regular Pioneer. This Convention was one of the sites that was on a Convention tour  from several Scandinavian Countries. I met several Brothers and Sisters from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. I also got to serve as an attendant for the Orchestra - that was special, not only because I got to be with all those musicians - but, since most of the race track was outdoors, and let's face it, this was south Florida in the summer, the orchestra was in an air-conditioned room   In addition to that, one of the Brothers from Sweden had permission to record the orchestra - so, I got to associate with him and his family. I got to eat with a large contingent from his group for several days.

I will say - as a very young, single Brother - I have never seen so many attractive blue-eyed, blonde Sisters in the same place .... not before that nor since!

Kessel

Located in the Outer Rim Territories, near Hutt Space and the dangerous celestial bodies of the Maw (in that Galaxy far, far away). It was a prison world, and was home to the galaxy's largest Glitterstim spice mining operation.  It is a misshapen, asteroid-shaped planet  with a barren, rocky landscape. The atmosphere is very thin, with most of the air being provided by factories on the surface.

Kessel was the only source of glitterstim spice, a valuable drug used both therapeutically and recreationally.

Marion County, Florida

Marion County was created in 1844 from portions of Alachua, Mosquito (Orange), and Hillsborough counties. Until 1853, Marion County included most of what are now Lake and Sumter counties. In 1849, Putnam County was created and took the northeast portion of Marion. Levy County’s creation took some of the western portion of Marion in 1877. The county is named after General Francis Marion of South Carolina, a guerilla fighter and hero of the American Revolutionary War. A large share of the early settlers being natives of South Carolina likely caused the name to be selected. The Act creating the county of Marion of the Territory of Florida was signed on March 14, 1844, by the territorial governor, R. K. Call. Many of the early settlers of Marion County were from South Carolina. The county motto is "Kingdom of the Sun." Farms in the county are known for breeding champion race horses such as Affirmed and Needles.

Statesboro, Ga

Statesboro is the largest city and county seat of Bulloch County, Georgia, United States, located in Southeast Georgia

The city was chartered in 1803, starting as a small trading community providing the basic essentials for surrounding cotton plantations. This drove the economy through the 19th century, both before and after the American Civil War.

There are two Congregations there sharing this Hall and they were assigned to the RC that I was at.

Weirsdale, Florida

Weirsdale is a town in Marion County, Florida, United States. It is located at the intersection of State Road 25 and State Road 42. And, believe me, that is about all there is to this town. It is one of those towns that, unless you were going there on purpose, you would probably never end up there - and I used to go there once a month.

The community is part of the Ocala Metropolitan Statistical Area.

A post office called Weirsdale has been in operation since 1892. Weirsdale has historically been centered on the citrus packing industry.

There is not a KH in Weirsdale but there are several in the surrounding area.

York, PA

York, known as the White Rose City (after the symbol of the House of York), is the county seat of York County, Pennsylvania, United States, located in the south-central region of the state.  York is the 11th largest city in Pennsylvania.

During the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), York served as the temporary capital of the Continental Congress. The Articles of Confederation were drafted and adopted in York, though they were not ratified until March 1781.
York styles itself the first Capital of the United States, although historians generally consider it to be the fourth capital, after Philadelphia, Baltimore and Lancaster. The claim arises from the assertion that the Articles of Confederation was the first legal document to refer to the colonies as "the United States of America".[14] The argument depends on whether the Declaration of Independence, which also uses the term, would be considered a true legal document of the United States, being drafted under and in opposition to British rule.

York has at least 5 Kingdom Halls.
