Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

For windows I have noticed a few changes. 

1) when selecting text the color to select text has changed to a teal green 

 

2)when pasting text in the notes area there are more options while left clicking

Voice typing 

Cut

Copy 

Paste 

Paste as plain text 

Select all

Writing direction

I noticed that in today's WT, I could not cut and paste in the notes box.

For those doing AV at the halls. Before this update, under "Show Media" for the meetings, you could select Other Songs. We always used this for the Public Talk opening song. It's no longer there... I already miss it 😅. 

Other than going through the Library, then Videos, then Music, then scrolling through to find the right song, is there an easy way to get that old list back that I'm just not seeing? 🤔

We just explored it further and found this (please keep in mind, I use the dark theme)

 

Under the meeting tab I get this page

If I click on "Sing Out Joyfully" I get this

 

Then, when I click on a song I get this

 

Please note the headphone icon at the top - it may take a few seconds the first time you do this

When I click the headphone icon I get this

Click the song under the "Video section" of the popup window

 

 

Still a few clicks but much better than using the scrolling selection on the music page

What I found very good of the new update is that i can flip left and right and go to the previous / next week. When presiding on the midweek meeting it was always time consuming to go to the next meeting and back to the current one by using the calendar feature. Now its a breeze!!

For some reason, scrolling to the next page or chapter using the touchpad on my computer now takes a few seconds as compared to before when it would happen almost immediately. Still can't figure out why it takes 20 or more seconds for streaming video in the app.  No other program on my computer takes that long to start streaming and when it does the audio usually starts several seconds before I see any video and then the video lags until I change the video setting from normal to 1 X 1, then the audio and video sync with each other.

Also, for some reason (and this is only in the JWLibrary app) I can't paste using my touchpad anymore either.  I can usually copy but never paste, I have to use the shortcut keys to paste now when in the workbook but it works fine in the Bible.

Our study Bible has just been updated in Portuguese. We now have study notes up to the book of 1 Timothy.

I have seen that during this thread of updates you know about the JW Library application, the truth is that I have asked the brothers and I have sent Bethel to implement a redesign of the application for what Please put on dark mode, and also make the paragraphs centered on the iPad and not in a section. Osito, we don't have any special contact with the branch. Members sometimes send suggestions to the branch about the software, and they sometimes take them into account. You can send your suggestions too.

One feature that I really am enjoying using lately is the possibility to have 5 different publications opened at the same time using the "history" feature 😉

Our instructions for the US branch is to download the video before the meeting instead of trying to stream it. That would probably eliminate the delay.

I understand, what I meant is that yes, I have sent my comments but I would like several of you to send an email so that they can add a true dark mode to the application, something like this.Could everyone who is watching write to the branch so they can hopefully hear us?

In itself, those are the guidelines they give you for audio and video, so I think it is for everyone.
