Thank you, Carlos. I did look at this when the brother put it up but got sidelined by the fact it had the letter 'i' in front of everything and said nothing about android. However, I guess the app is the same whichever platform is used so I will go and have a look now.   xo

Yes, it's basically the same. After you type a note, you can touch on "Add a tag" and add the tag you wish. Or if you already added the note, you can click on the three dots > Edit > Add a tag.

 

If you have already added some tags, they will show up so you can choose them instead of typing them again.

 

You don't need to add tags if you just want to make some notes. But they are useful to filter notes when you go to the Personal Study section.

This is where I am having the problem. I click on  'add a tag' I just get a little box saying 'no results found'. I thought I must be doing something wrong and that I need to set tags up in advance somehow, somewhere.

Not really. When it says "no results found" just go on and type your tag. For example, "CBS" or "Bible Reading" or "Return Visit".

Aaaahhhhh!! That was a big sigh. Thank you. I didn't realise I could actually make a tag at that point. Saying no tag found in a box made me think I had missed a step. Thank you so much, Carlos, you have saved me from my own stupidity once again.  xo

Every page I go to in the app, flashes two to three times before stopping, I still can't make notes on the schedule from tye meeting tab ,- I have to click on the Workbook icon and click on the right schedule from there is make any notes on the schedule page. My GOD'S Kingdom Rules book wouldn't do anymore notes after just one, etc. . .

I am not sure if this has been covered but....   If you have highlighted text say in a watchtower or other publication, is it possible to delete all that highlighting simply, or do you have to delete each highlight separately?   If the publication is deleted, does the highlighting delete with it?

Hope someone can advise me.

If there is a two-part question, I like to answer A in one color and B in another color.

I accidentally answered both A and B in one color and tried to delete it all and start fresh.

I could not get that highlighted answer to delete, no matter how hard I tried.

I finally gave up and left it all one color.

 

What's up with that?

I have NEVER been unable to delete a highlight before.

 by "hard" you mean pressing harder on the screen :p... Or trying several times? It happened to me and it was deleted after pressing on the delete button around 5 times

I think that the highlight won't disappear if you delete and download again but you better try it and post the result

I tried waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than five times.  I even tried again when I got to the meeting.  It was still a 'no go'  ...away.

You can just select a new colour for one of the questions. It's easy to select colour after the fact. Just tap the marked text and select a new colour.

Regarding "backing up" your notes, I made the mistake and over-wrote my notes on my ipad when I restored from windows pc jwlib.  Ok, I have learnt the hard way....  and there wasn't a lot to lose yet, just some tags and some notes from 2 meetings.  However, when I went to my bookmark for my Bible reading, it had also been overwritten to a bookmark about a month ago.  Whether that is connected, I don't know, but it had definitely changed.

Tried that.  Just a different color of the exact same problem.  Delete function  failure.

I have a Samsung tablet and I don't have any of the problems you listed.  Is your OS up to date?  that can sometimes cause problems in an app.

I had that problem last night.  I just closed the app, reopened it and was able to delete straight away.

Yes. My tablet's OS is right up to date.  The second new update is the culprit that caused the problem.

I still don't know what this second update was for and the app's home page on Google Play didn't say.

On my Samsung phone if I tap a word that I already highlighted in a publication I get full palette with all options including a trashcan. Doesn't everyone get that on Samsung?
