Good move! :D

Especially considering it’s a (ahem) “Christian” celebration in a Communist country.

The notice says to, “refrain from blindly celebrating foreign festivals or engaging in Western religions.” Sounds so Russian.

“It’s not how much we know that pleases Jehovah, but how we feel about what we know and how we have allowed that knowledge to increase our love for Jehovah.”

Stavro you're correct.

Millions living in China are FREE to celebrate Christmas so in effect China did not ban it.

Only communist party workers are forbidden to touch "unclean" LOL

Instead, it asked members to study the speeches of Chinese President Xi Jinping, in order to “build a new glorious chapter of the Chinese culture.” Members were also encouraged to spread the idea to their families, friends and colleagues.

I found the second paragraph interesting. ..

  taken from the article --

"The action underscores long-standing tensions between religious groups and the officially atheistic Communist Party that strives for complete political and social control"

At least they are admitting it. Wonder how the pasta group fits in with their scheme of things?

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!
