Trump agrees to meet with NK President

A special news broadcast interrupted Jeopardy.  South Korea's President announced the results of his talks with NK President.

Supposedly, NK has agreed to halt its nuclear testing and permit SK and its allies to practice military drills.

Also, Trump agrrd to talk with NK's president.

I found this unbelievable, yet it wasn't an announcement that UN was involved, although UN voted on sanctions against NK.

Ya There is something fishy here. Why would NK all of a sudden have an about face on everything they said they were building? Do you have a link for that story?

President Donald Trump has accepted an invitation to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un by May, setting in motion the most significant development in years of intermittent negotiations about North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

 

Speaking from the White House, South Korea's National Security Office head Chung Eui-yon described the contents of the letter saying the North's leader "expressed eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible."

"Kim pledged that North Korea will refrain from any further nuclear or missile tests. He understands that the routine joint military exercises in the Republic of Korea and the United States must continue," Chung added.

Saffron, thank you for mentioning Br. Schafer's talk.  I went back and listened to it again.   Am excited, but also must watch out.  Remember he said the demons with Satan, might make it seem that God is backing their plans with some sort of trickery, like the example he gave of Moses and the rod, where the magic practicing priests used as well turning their rods into snakes too.    There is more to this then story, I watched the president's talking to the press, he couldn't say that this might lead up to peace & security, but he just used the word peace.    We are as Br. Schafer put it, on the cusp of the G.T. and into Armagadden.   Again, we do our work but also remain awake.   Wow, am impressed with prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes.   Again, lets see where this goes and how Satan, will fool the world (who he controls) into thinking humans can achieve P&S by themselves.

Yes, we'll have to wait and see (like all other "announcements" coming out from that quarter).  So long as we are alert, as Rev 16:15 says, then we won't miss the point and be misled.  We live in exciting (weirdly so) times!  Eager expectation while we keep busy is the way to go.

Apart from saying it would be in May, there's nothing specific yet.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is encouraged by the planned meeting between the two leaders, according to his spokesman.

"He commends the leadership and vision of all concerned and reiterates his support for all efforts towards peaceful denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula in accordance with relevant Security Council resolutions," UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters.

China has also applauded the development, with Chinese President Xi Jinping telling Mr Trump he appreciates his desire to resolve the North Korea issue politically, Chinese state media said.

President Xi, is in his position for life.  I hope he's around when the G.T., breaks out and gets to see our Forever King, remove all these rulers from the planet.  This would include him and everybody else who is against truth.
