We must all wake up to the need for a good lie-in at the weekend

My favourite pass time :)

IF YOU are one of the countless millions who fret about not getting enough sleep, there is now something else to keep you awake: the possibility that you are not only sleep-deprived, but also dream-deprived.

It turns out that dream sleep is one of the biggest casualties of our collective sleep debt. It is more common at the end of a night's slumbers, so tends to be cut short by the need to get up for work or school. And far from being a pleasurable but superfluous state, that dreamy sleep in the morning turns out to have some important functions for your brain (see “How a lack of dreams could be messing with your mind”).

This is yet more evidence that Western society pays too little attention to the importance of good sleep. Your doctor probably asks you about diet and exercise, but how often about how well you sleep? Schools persist in opening their doors earlier than strictly necessary despite good evidence that a later start is better for teenage pupils. Paying off sleep debt at the weekend is seen as slothful indulgence rather than part of a healthy lifestyle. We must all wake up to the need for good sleep or risk sleepwalking our way to problems.

Zeph 3:17 Jehovah your God is in the midst of you. As a mighty One, he will save. He will exult over you with rejoicing. He will become silent in his love. He will be joyful over you with happy cries....... Love it....a beautiful word picture.

Another reason to hate Fibromyalgia. I need to try a hammock. Hammock rocking actually helps you fall asleep and reach deeper sleep. This is probably also related to why I find it easier to fall asleep in moving cars... https://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2011/06/21/137300311/why-hammocks-make-sleep-easier-deeper?ps=sh_sthdl

My family loves hearing about my dreams! They are oh so vivid! I fly, get shot at, get chased, pray for forgiveness for craziness in my dreams when I wake up thankful that that didn't actually happen ! My night time concoction is 700mg of Magnesium Citrate, 100mg 5HTP..... Try @ your own vivid dream risk....

I usually say "I never dream" and now I am seeing that it is because I don't sleep long enough.

I'm pretty sure I dream because I've read that we ALL do... we just don't remember them.

I RARELY remember my dreams.  And they are usually the lucid type if I do remember; I watch them like they're a movie and I always know it's a dream.  I'm not usually in my dreams at all.

That probably means something ominous...

I dont dream much Im on so many drugs for different things that its very rare I remember dreaming. I know I am sleep deprived. Sometimes because of pain other times stress sometimes just because. I used to have a lot of nightmares. Im glad I dont dream much any more.  That wasnt helped by the christmas tree my dad found under our back mud room. Got rid of that and they ended. Still freaks me out to this day. Happened a long time. I sometimes wonder if that is why I stay up so late at night.1 or 2 am sometimes. Who knows. I sure dont.
