Apprectiong Creation - Nature, Animals etc

Recommended Posts

“In all languages, one of our earliest expressions is ‘let me see!’”—William White, Jr.

So in line with this saying..

What is your favorite Jehovah's creation? (could be multiple)

Please share with us - photos too, if you can.

It has often been noted that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” However, although the beauty is there, not everyone will spot it. It may take a painting or a photograph to make us sit up and take notice. In fact, many artists believe that their success depends more on their ability to see than to draw. The book The Painter’s Eye, by Maurice Grosser, explains that “the painter draws with his eyes, not with his hands. Whatever he sees, if he sees it clear, he can put down. . . . Seeing clear is the important thing.”
Whether we are artists or not, we can learn to see more clearly, to notice the beauty around us.

In other words, we need to go out and look at things in a new light. G95 11/8

I will go first:

For some strange reason, I love barren areas ..deserts ..volcanoes etc  (Psalm 68:4)

Sing to God; sing praises to his name.
Sing to the One riding through the desert plains.
Jah is his name! Rejoice before him!

This one is from Hawaii.

I would have to combine two things ...

One is water. Funny thing is, living in a state with more coastline than most places (Florida has about 1350 miles - the second most coastline of the Continental US - ALaska has more) I am not that much a fan of salt water ... I prefer fresh water lakes over the ocean. Of course, Florida has an ample supply of those, also.

However, as much as I enjoy being out in a boat on one of the lakes - Florida does not have mountains :(

SO, places like this I like would like to visit

Image result for bear lake colorado

That said, I would really not want to live in the cold weather that goes with them.

There is too much to love of Jehovah's creation, too many favorites for me to pick just 1.

But here are some examples of my favorite works of beauty from the "Grand Artist".

My favorite Jehovah's creation are sunrises and sunsets.

Nobody turns the lights on and off like our God, Jehovah.

While mountains reflect Jehovah's majesty, sunrises and sunsets

reflect his glory almost as much as the star-filled heavens...

But I also love the incredible works of creation that display the highest caliber of ingenuity and awe-inspiring power from our "Grand Designer".

I find these amazingly beautiful. But at the same time, looking at them takes me to the past and my melancholic nature kicks in. I feel sad and shed some tears. Its that deep.

I would love to spend lots of time watching migratory birds and the watery locations they visit. I can watch all day with no problem. My latest documentary fascination is about the artic north and areas of northern Scandinavia. Hopefully Jehovah will help me acclimate to the weather so I can explore. I hate being cold right now.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

I see how you would be looking out over the water (like the guy in the pic) - and that is because you would be looking at me in the boat with a fishing pole in my hands

On the TV news last night, they showed a duck like this swimming in Central Park.

An unusual animal has made its home in New York’s Central Park, dazzling passersby with its vibrant blues, purples, greens, and gold: a Mandarin duck. This creature is far from its homeland – it’s native to East Asia – and its presence is both baffling and exciting enthusiasts.

The duck, a male, was first spotted in Central Park's Pond on Oct. 10. A video of the bird was shared by the Manhattan Bird Alert, a Twitter account run by birder David Barrett that keeps New Yorkers up to date with rare bird sightings and beyond.

Thousands of people viewed the footage, many of whom were anxious to catch a glimpse of the rarity themselves. But the following day, the Mandarin duck had vanished.

Roughly two weeks later, the bird returned. This time, the duck – not to be confused with the North American wood duck – was spotted at the boat basin on West 79th Street, near the Hudson River. The creature “got a lot of publicity, but few people got to see it,” Barrett told Fox News on Thursday. “But then it shows up mysteriously at the boat basin.”

On Sunday, the bird was “noted again at the Central Park Pond,” he said with enthusiasm.

But what is perhaps the most exhilarating part of the bird’s story is how it arrived in Manhattan in the first place. Barrett theorized three possibilities, the first being the duck had escaped from a local zoo.

“The Mandarin duck is not native in the United States at all; it’s a wild bird in East Asia. The only way you would see that duck in our area is at a zoo, and the Central Park Zoo has a Mandarin duck that looks just like this one,” which is why he first thought the facility may have lost the colorful creature, he said.

Every bird lover for miles around was 'flocking' to see it.

It is a Mandarin duck, which originate in China, and no one can figure out how it got to New York.

The reporter said, "The bird continues to 'duck' the question of how it suddenly appeared.":D

First time I saw a Mourning Dove I thought Jehovah sure does have a sense of humor.

The reason I say that is the ones around here make me think of a football with legs.

Too much beauty in all of Jehovah’s creations to pick just one as was already said.

The first time I heard the expression 'doves are the sheep of the bird world' was in a Morning Worship talk by Br. Kenneth Flodin? on being Neutral in the Ministry. He was explaining Jesus' saying, 'be cautious as serpents and innocent as doves.'.

He said 'they are notable for their gentleness, softness and friendliness with people'.

I loved that video. I want to hear it again as I was cleaning windows in the Kingdom Hall.

I sent it to my adopted spiritual mom and dad. I explained how the brothers are very serious about neutrality and not taking sides. I mentioned about even when alone in our homes.

Dad always listens to that MSN political garbage. I’m trying to stir them from that. Picking on politicians, asking and beating down on same questions. 🤢🤢🤢

We all no they’re corrupt. Why get ourselves all worked up about it.
