Do you remember the good old days when we had "12 years to save the planet"?

Now it seems, there's a growing consensus that the next 18 months will be critical (Do you remember the good old days when we had "12 years to save the planet"?) in dealing with the global heating crisis, among other environmental challenges.

Looks like the GT date has just been brought forward. :)

If you look up in youtube : Guy MacPherson with Paul Henry - his attitude is very similar - I like that interview because Paul Henry's response is priceless.

Actually I'll post the link here. It's sobering, but I find it dare I say amusing? But not in a funny way ... in a way that the answer is right before them, but they simply don't want it.

I think it's truth for a lot of the areas in the world - we who are in countries who have safe drinking water are not affected to the extent, but it is truth for some or many are who are bathing in filthy waters, and even have no choice but use it as their drinking water ... even the rivers in Malaysia, Thailand that are infected with dyes from factories around them - very callous and heartbreaking.

But, WE, have to remember Jehovah has his timetable and everything, (while in the control of Satan at the moment), everything will work out according to his timetable.

I know you are joking about the date of the GT being brought forward, but I think when hindsight comes to play everything is going to make perfect sense from Jehovah standpoint.

Though climate change can have a devastating impact of the planet - this one thing in itself is not and cannot be the "sign" of "the end" - Jesus gave a composite sign, not a sign with a singular factor or cause.

And in 18 months everyone will forget all about this statement.

These things simply cannot be measured that specifically.  All these statements do is stir fear.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

That's probably because most would be gone by that time and those alive would say the following:

the former things will not be called to mind, Nor will they come up into the heart. Isaiah 65:17b

I thought, "Revelation it's grand climax at hand," is even more crystal clear now more so then ever before for the signs of the last days, if we just think about the Main factor everything is the way it is, the issue of universal sovereignty! The Reason mankind is left to his own devices, to his own ideas for such a long period of time, to the lie that Satan said we can rule ourselves. AND just look at where it has got us it has taken over 6000 years, but now it is at its pivotal point, how wise is our heavenly father Jehovah for waiting until mankind can reach his peak of rule in technology, in medicine, in building and yet it has all shown we cannot rule ourselves, so much so now as was foretold in Revelation 11:18 that Jah " is going to to bring to ruin those ruining the earth". I really feel as time goes on these matters make more sense. Proverbs 4:18,19

Besides that, there's also the damage the LGBTQ movement has on the procreation cycle of mankind - not to mention the "air" of this world

I think that's a slight exaggeration that this has an impact on our procreation...there might be coming a lot of noise from the lgbtq quarters and their supporters (so I agree with the worldly "air") but they are still a minority, very much so! The 3% or so lgbtq people hardly make a dent compared to the amount of heterosexual people who stopped having children at all due to economic or other reasons (like wanting to have fun and no responsibilities..lol). Yet, the world population is still rising disproportionately ( not so much in western countries). I am by no means defending the lgbtq movement but we need to stay factual..

The title of the post gives a time frame of 18 months ... something similar could be said about the LGBTQ thing - give them another couple years and that 3% could be 30% or more.

That aside, my point was that climate change alone is not the "ruining of the earth" that the Bible was talking about. It is an inclusive sign that covers the physical as well as the spiritual ruin of the earth ...

Think about it, Jehovah did not bring the flood of Noah's day because of physical ruin of the earth ... violence had ruined the earth.

I agree that the spiritual degregation is a large part of the ruining of the earth. But LGBTQ are probably just a small part of that - your apathetic, heterosexual neighbor who is smoking weed and is watching questionable stuff is just as much part of that. The noisiest are often not LGBTQ people themselves but everyone else around them who supports their community. I get more pressure in work from my heterosexual HR department and the LGBTQ friendly adverts online than LGBTQ people themselves... ironically.

I have had some very interesting spiritual conversations with people from that community and find that a lot are actually craving spirituality in their lives and are quite deep thinkers - not surprisingly, many are not as happy as they thought they were. They used to be let down by false religion and a hateful society and now they are being hailed and used to whitewash advertising but none of that gives them true meaning. I am not defending their lifestyle or even the entire community but gladly Jehovah looks at individuals and gives everyone an opportunity to change.

And you are right, the violence you mention will be back with a vengeance when there is a realisation that we won't bow to societies views on morality.

I see you live in the UK ... perhaps on your side of the pond the LGBTQ people are not as vocal as they are here.

Where I live it is a "college town" (major US University) and the LGBTQ people are very "noisy" - they push for their agenda everywhere and every chance they get or can take.

We do not have many "interesting spiritual conversations" with that "community" here - they would rather "take over" and are trying their best to do that - anything you say that does not set their agenda above the heterosexual community they view as "hate speech" ... even to the point that they have attempted to ban "Straight Pride" parades or events even though they feel that "Gay Pride" parades and events should be given priority over anything else.

This attitude has become apparent in US TV programs and has even made it's way into "reality competition" shows that should have nothing to do with LGBTQ ... but it is apparent that it does.

Recently, Netflix had a new reality competition show about a craftsman skill. By the final episode it looked quite obvious they gave the win to the gay person who made most of their projects themed for "gender equality" instead of giving the win to a much more talented contestant that did far superior work ... but was not gay.

Oh, you see that too! I have seen an alarming increase in Transgenders recently. When I get into a conversation of substance ( usually with men transitioning to women) I have detected that they are lacking “ Meaning “ in their existence and seeking validation in the LGBTQ community. This fits well with two cases I have known previously who went through that process only to realize it was never what they actually needed. ( both ended badly). But back  on topic!  Yes! The overall selfish mentality that is the ocean in which the LGBTQ and the immoral heterosexual community swim in is the true ruination.

Not to mention all of the plastic that has entered the eco system impacting both man , sea and land animals!

And metals, etc.

In service yesterday while ducking in and out of stores for some AC, I joined a couple of sisters, and one told us about people building homes where, if and when the building materials gets into the water, it affects man and animal by making them and us sick...very sick. She said she forgot what country it was, but no matter. Man is truly destroying this beautiful planet Jehovah gave us.

Revelation 11:18b is truly needed and will be done! For sure!

They don't need to be - the UK has fallen for them hook, line and sinker already 😂

Stonewall is practically the new Amnesty International in the UK. Yes, there is a cultural difference. UK is much more secular and there are more religious people in the US. I think that leads to quite a lot of noise from the political left in the US. No politician or celebrity in their right mind would publicly declare a belief in God or a religion in the UK unless they want to commit career suicide.

But regardless of that - we still have a duty to be respectful. Jehovah has given us free will after all. I don't see the point getting irritated at TV shows anymore, I just switch off. There are more important things to worry about. The LGBT movement is also highly politicised and we need to be careful not to compromise our neutrality even if it is irritating.
