Question. In Zoom, when the meeting is running, there are like a dozen icons in the bar at the bottom of the screen. It used to be chat, participants, and reactions. Now there's so anymore. How do I remove them to reduce confusion for the brothers on the A/V?

If you go into zoom settings you can disable a bunch of those items. After one of the last updates I had to go back through with the “zoom settings” checklist from the branch and reset a bunch that got changed during the update.

You can’t turn some of them off unfortunately.

If you use the web portal to configure the various options that are able to be turned on/off - those that are turned off will not show the icon

One of the updates it that, when clicking in the "Discover what's new" link - it no longer takes me to the website, instead I get this:

My friend blind sister have asked about a problem with Windows 11:

She can heard speaker and brothers who have comments in Zoom fine.

Hovewer when Video or Music is on share screen the sound volume is extremely low.

Anybody faced this problem?

We had a problem in our meeting tonight. Everyone on zoom some how got unmuted as the spiritual gems started. No idea how but it happened twice and caused a lot of confusion. Anyone else had a problem?

Several brothers faced with a problem with Zoom update/installation on Windows 10 x64 (I noticed 5 cases)

 

Problem

Zoom cannot begin to update by itself, but failed, asking to download installer.

When download this Zoom exe installer, it beginning to start, but silently crashes:

Solution:

In some cases 32-bit version is working:

https://zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstaller.exe

In other cases when above not working, MSI package instead of exe fix the problem:

https://zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstallerFull.msi

There is a "mute" option available to host and co-host that allows them to mute/unmute everyone ... if you are not careful, you can click on it while trying to hit one of the other selections in the menu.

 

I would opt for "user error" with your problem - not a Zoom issue due to the update.

I guess I should mention, my Zoom updated without issues ... as did the Zoom on my FIL's PC
