shaking my head

Acronym for 'shake my head' or 'shaking my head. ' Usually used when someone finds something so stupid, no words can do it justice.

I wondered. I had things like so much hate and as possibilities. :)

And she said that Jehovahs were branding coronavirus an “Armageddon”.

She explained: ‘“My kids are at home and terrified this is Armageddon while I am stuck here in Spain.

“The Jehovah’s Witnesses say coronavirus is the great plague prophesied by God and they will only be saved if their belief in Jehovah is strong enough.”

All of the above is patently false. Coronavirus is not armageddon, and there is no "great plague" prophesied by God.

Admitting her marriage is on the rocks, Naghmeh added: “I couldn’t deal with [my marriage] and came out at the beginning of March."

Clearly she's leaving everything and is on a smear campaign. Hopefully their 7 kids can see through the smog and dust she is stirring up.

The Sun Magazine no worst then Daily Mail.  The reporters would love to here more on her split.  If she was a witness her herself, all the years her son has been suffering, why out of the blue did she leave her husband over him SUPPOSEDLY saying God brought the Covid-19 to as to a sign for Armageddon?  Someone is off their rocker, and it's not Jehovah or his organization.  There is more then what she says and what others read into it.  Our letters are of hope and comfort, and the God's Kingdom.  I don't know any JW friend that said that the virus was brought on by God a punishment and a preview before Armageddon.  Someone has a screw lose somewhere, and it isn't Jehovah or his organization.

I would be very careful about these stories.  A sister, with a history of depression, committed suicide in our congregation 25 years ago and the newspapers, like this one, wrote how she did it because she was devastated about being disfellowshipped for having an affair and they had all sorts of quotes from her and she never spoke to them before she died and she wasn't having an affair and it caused her children much heartache over the lies of the callous press.

The congregation was threatened with our Hall getting burned down by anonymous haters ringing the number on the website for our congregation and we never knew where the newspapers got these evil tales from! Our Branch had a barrister at the inquest who threatened the newspapers.

We had to temporarily rehome the families involved and the Police had to guard the family attending the inquest from the press cameras and other intrusion round their home. The newspapers never apologized, but did write a favourable 2 page article about a brother who had complicated heart surgery without a transfusion by way of appeasement.

I was just about to say. I never put stock in these publications. Tabloids have a trashy reputation for a reason.

Strange that no one sued the newspaper as it seems like such a slam dunk, and in light of the situation, could have been "appealed" to Caesar, to clear the reproach caused by the newspaper.

25 years ago suing for anything and everything was not that common - especially when "freedom of the press" was involved.

Maybe not common, but this is not a case of "anything and everything". If the report is true, the accusations were extremely out of line. Even the Organization was taking cases to Supreme Court over 50 years ago.
