I use Gboard for my keyboard and it has emojis. I can add an emoji from the keyboard when I create a tag.

You need to have to keyboard that supports inputting of emojis. If you don't have one, I guess you can just copy and paste it from somewhere else.

I'm sure only the emojis that are supported by unicode can be used in JW Library, it is the international standard.

On a Windows PC, you hold the Windows key and press period to open the emoji input. Unfortunately, this combination makes it impossible for a T-Rex to use... 🦖

I can open the emoji list with Windows key and period, but I can't get them to move from the list to the tag.  They don't move when typing, they don't move with a right-click, they don't move with a left-click and they don't drag either.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'they don't move'?

On JW Library in Windows, I am able to go to a note, select Add a Tag, open the emoji list with Win+., left click on an emoji to insert it at the cursor, close the emoji list by clicking on the X icon, then left click Add a Tag "emoji goes here 🐾" in JW Library. Then it becomes a saved tag.

I can make the note.  I can add a tag.  I do not seem to be able to add any emoji in either case.  But when I try to tag the note this is what happens.

I have no idea the possible cause. What version are you on? I'm on 12.4.152 in the Settings tab. You can try updating your apps through the Microsoft Store if it's old. You might also try adding a tag manually in the top right corner of the Study tab.

I am on version 12>4.152 (115081).  This discussion is about Windows 10 (not apple or Android).  If I have  a tag on screen, I can get the windows to open the emojis list but no mouse or cursor movement can attach the selected emoji to the tag.  I will play with it some other time.  thanks for the help.

After creating the  tag its important to click on "add a tag" and then click anywhere on the "text body".

Thank you William.  I was able to create a "Note" and use the "add a tag" feature.  When I click on "add a tag" it gives me the box that says "No Options".  If i click on that box, the mouse cursor goes to the note text.  I had to have the emoji list open and double-click on the icon (emoji). Then the emoji appears in the text in a grayish-green box.  When I click on an open spot in the note text the emoji seems to stick.

I was not able to just create a tag (bookmark) with no text note and get any emoji to stick with that.

This is a lot harder than the Ipad tablet or my Android phone.  Thanks again.

Does anybody know if I can buy an app or add to my keyboard MANY MORE emojis?

If you know, please let me know for Android as well as for ios (save ones).

Chrissy, the point with emojis in keyboards is that they are standard. If you use a program that adds more non-standard emojis they will only be visible in your device. If you send a text to someone else with those emojis, they won't be able to see them.

Thanks Carlos, but it is not about sending - ust for personal use, for the tags in the watchtower library

Windows 11 has a way to pop up emojis now at any time. Will check it out after the meeting.

Thanks, Mike, but aren´t the Win11 emojis the same as in the WT Library app? I was asking about apps in order to have a bigger choice of different emojis...

You add/create new tags to use at a later time in the personal study page.

Any tags you create before hand will then show up in the 'add a tag' box.

If it says no options it means you have not created any tags for use in jwlibrary yet. You can also edit tags from there as well if you want to add an emoji.

In windows 11 I type "windows .  " to bring up the emoji panel to choose one. \it works perfectly. I had made a quick screen shot video but its 15mb in size.
