Many are now asking whether the United Nations has any future at all if it cannot fulfil its first promise of maintaining international peace and security.

Has the UN reached the end of its lifespan?

It does, therefore, appear as though we are witnessing the collapse of the UN-led international peace and security system in real time.

Quote

Dissolving and reconstituting the UN under a new charter is the only structural alternative.

This, however, would require a level of global collectivism that presently does not exist. One or more of the P5 would likely block any reform or redesign that would see the loss of their veto power.

Almost like they would never make such a radical decision on their own...🤓

Russian officials indicated in 2019 that the Kremlin would be willing to back off from its support for Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela in exchange for a free hand in Ukraine, according to Fiona Hill, an adviser to President Donald Trump at the time.

The Russians repeatedly floated the idea of a “very strange swap arrangement between Venezuela and Ukraine,” Hill said during a congressional hearing in 2019. Her comments surfaced again this week and were shared on social media after the U.S. stealth operation to capture Maduro.

Trump looks to be desperate to get Greenland, whether they want to submit to that or not. I don't follow the news too much, so I don't know why he wants it so badly. But whatever it is turns him into a bully.

Mostly it’s for minerals, but the US has had a base and an interest in Greenland for many years….

And now Trump feels he is unstoppable, he’s just seized two oil tankers one of them in international waters and Russia has now accused them of piracy….

They remind me of a pair of Sumo wrestlers trying to push each other out of the ring 😄

It should be noted that Greenland is considered to be part of the North American continent and Trump would like to rule the entire continent.

Cuba is also considered to be part of the North American continent - as are Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.

That would solve the illegal immigration complaints.

WT 2015 8/15 "Keep in Expectation" para 17:

"Events on the world scene clearly indicate that Bible prophecy is now being fulfilled and that the end of this wicked system of things is imminent. Therefore, we should not assume that much time is needed for the state of this world to develop to the point where "the ten horns" and "the wild beast" of Revelation 17:16 turn on Babylon the Great....... The end of this entire system of things is not far off."

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration will withdraw from dozens of international organizations, including the U.N.'s population agency and the U.N. treaty that establishes international climate negotiations, as the U.S. further retreats from global cooperation.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order suspending U.S. support for 66 organizations, agencies, and commissions, following his administration’s review of participation in and funding for all international organizations, including those affiliated with the United Nations, according to a White House release.

That's an interesting thought. What will it mean if the UN collapses? It won't be able to gain power and destroy false religion?

Edit: oops seems like I am late to this discussion 🤣

This huge! This bill was sitting for months and months without action.

Consequences of this bill will impact Russia dramatically in a economic way.

GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham said that President Donald Trump has given the greenlight on a long-awaited bill to impose stiff sanctions on countries purchasing Russia oil — and the bill could come up in the Senate next week.

Graham and Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal have been pushing for a floor vote on their sanctions legislation for months, arguing that the way to break Putin’s war machine in Ukraine is through Russia’s reliance on oil markets.

The bill would allow the president to impose harsh sanctions on nations that purchase oil, natural gas and uranium from Russia, with exceptions for countries who have made contributions to Ukraine’s war effort.https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-news/trump-venezuela-oil-greenland-07-01-26

The idea is to make US controlling oil.

to weaken Russia you weaken China.

A weak China is the final goal for Trump.

To achieve that some domino pieces must be taken down

Venezuela and Iran seem to be two domino pieces

Trump to punish countries like India, China and Brazil for buying cheap Russian oil

Senator Lindsey Graham said the president "green-lit" the new sanctions legislation when the pair met yesterday.

Citing China, India and Brazil as the biggest offenders, he said: “This bill will allow President Trump to punish those countries who buy cheap Russian oil fueling Putin’s war machine.”https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-russia-war-trump-putin-zelensky-peace-map-latest-news-b2896550.html
