The case of a disfellowshipped woman who demanded that courts compel the Jehovah’s Witnesses to readmit her was widely misinterpreted by the media.

What an incredible story. First she says one thing then changes it to something else. Rape is a criminal offense and she did not report it to the police as the man she was with would deny it. And rightly so. Newspapers aren't interested in what's right, but only in paper sales.

The bitterwinter article also mentioned anti-cultist groups. The one to watch for is FECRIS. https://bitterwinter.org/anti-cult-federation-fecris-china-and-russia-1-why-fecris-is-in-trouble/

On that same site, I found this article on the proposed freezing of the 'Unification Church' assets in Japan quite interesting.

"Liquidating the Family Federation and freezing its assets would open the way to similar actions against dozens of other religious movements that are not popular with the media or with some lawyers or political groups. We already hear voices in Japan accusing other religious groups and calling for similar measures against them.

Scholars have studied how campaigns against religion start by targeting comparatively small and unpopular groups. Measures against them are supported by the media and applauded by public opinion (whose ideas about these groups are, of course, largely shaped by the same media). However, these measures become precedents and establish general principles soon applied against dozens of other religions.

We have seen this process at work in Russia and China, which both started targeting the Jehovah’s Witnesses and members of other religions regarded as “anti-social,” but gradually extended their repression to all religionists the regimes saw as potential dissidents."

Another source I had followed was this one, as it dealt specifically with Russia. It stopped reporting just over a year ago for some reason. Up to the time of the war most of the reports were about our brothers getting arrested for singing songs and praying with others among other topics. Here is one during the war: https://www2.stetson.edu/religious-news/220608b.html

There were lots of Russian Orthodox complicity with the war. Here is a rather poignant comment by a 'refusenik' at the battle front. It is almost comical: "After the colonel failed to persuade them to attack, a priest was brought to them. But both the colonel and the clergyman rejected the suggestion of the 'refuseniks' that they lead the attacking column. Therefore the soldiers said 'to hell with them' and refused to attack," the report says. (tr. by PDS, posted 11 April 2022)

The site is from Florida and his sources were from Russia when the news wasn't so stifled.

He sees the “waters” drying up,  and he trying to keep the water in by condoning and conforming to the world’s values.

Don’t forget that the Vatican seat at UN is at stake here

If the Vatican wouldn’t comply they would have to leave.

The “United” Methodist church is becoming more divided:

I remember way back in the 1970s, when the Methodist Church divided up, one of the new divisions called itself the 'United' Methodist Church.  It seemed illogical to me.

A 'United' Church in my city has painted the front steps into the church in rainbow colours, each step as part of the rainbow. Sigh. Churches here are being repurposed to other things. School of Music is one. Another became a piano store then an Antique store.

In very rare move, Pope dismisses conservative US bishop Strickland

I saw that too.  It's really telling when a bishop is fired for trying to live up to standards in the bible.

Although its just the church of England it is still a Interesting read i thought, just further showing the waters of babylon the great drying up in the UK's Church of England separation from the state, Lord Scriven said it is archaic to have the church representing England when not many are practising and attending church.

Catholic priest sentenced to life for sex trafficking boys, manipulating opioid addictions

An Ohio priest was sentenced to life in prison Friday after he was convicted of grooming three boys and taking advantage of their opioid addictions to force them into commercial sex, according to the U.S. Justice Department.

In May, a federal jury in Toledo found the Rev. Michael Zacharias, a Roman Catholic clergy member, guilty of five counts of sex trafficking in allegations that spanned 15 years, from July 2005 to August 2020.   Prosecutors said he abused his role as a teacher and priest at a Toledo parish school to groom the three boys into adulthood, force them into sex and enable their addictions to pain medications and heroin later in life.  😡

UKRAINE AT THE UN: MOSCOW ITSELF DESTROYS RUSSIAN ORTHODOXY IN UKRAINE

Mudrenko stated that Russia is stealing Ukrainian dioceses, churches, and property, and the Russian Orthodox Church is involved in the occupation. Last year, Russians seized all three Crimean dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. This year, in July, three more dioceses in Luhansk, Alchevsk, and Rovenky were taken.

“These actions were taken against the very church whose rights the Russian delegation pretends to protect by requesting this meeting,” the diplomat emphasized.

Furthermore, Patriarch Kirill of the Moscow Patriarchate instills in Russians the belief that the war against Ukraine is a “god-pleasing cause.”

“He does not waste time preaching about peace and does not refer to biblical commandments like ‘thou shall not kill’ but directly calls for mobilization. In particular, he calls on the church to ‘pray for the authorities and the military and also be on the front lines,'” Mudrenko said.
