Someone put the very moving video about the resurrection that was shown at the recent convention up on YouTube and I thought I'd share it.

Maybe this has been posted already or maybe it's not appropriate for me to post it. If so will the mods delete this. But I think it's a lovely video.

Sadly, that is the problem with these positive videos that make it to You-Tube. They are out numbered by the

infinite amount of apostate websites, that then get listed right beside them. And then curious people, who

may have actually been inspired by the videos, then turn and listen to these. and then they come away and

just write it off as just more JW propaganda designed to entrap the unwary. But off course the very reverse

is true. But that wouldn't serve Satan's purposes very well now would it.

I too wanted to see so many of these videos uploaded to the internet. Feeling we would finally have some-

thing to really answer all of the negative ads and websites out there. But how much wiser the FDS has proved

to be in telling us not to post this to You- Tube or any other Internet website. That way we do not play right into

Satan's hands. Meanwhile, we can continue to tell people about JW.org and JW Broadcasting. And after the

first of the year, if I understand right, many of these videos will be posted there from the conventions. ( Please

correct me if I am in error in this. )  And that with a completely positive message about the truth.

I don't even bother looking for JW stuff on YouTube. I unsubscribed from a YouTube channel last night. It's a channel about music and has musician interviews but yet they made a video on something said at the Zone Meeting. I was thinking what in the world? What's this got to do with music? So I unsubscribed. I didn't watch the video but it put a bad taste in my mouth.

And apostates making their comments.  Even though this is a lovely and very emotional video, should it be on youtube?

No, but we are not internet policemen. The video might soon be released on JW Broadcasting so if it bothers your conscience to watch it on YouTube, instead of judging others (I know you are not doing this), then one might just want to wait to watch it on JWB.

Nothing people do on the internet goes unnoticed by the search engines! They are so friendly. :nope: I'm afraid Big Brother (or is it Big Advertiser?) really is watching us. So yeah, you can be looking up what seems to be an unrelated subject but your friendly search engines/advertisers have kept track of your searches, interests, orders, etc., and *target* you for what might interest you, whether it seems to make sense or not!

It's one of the ramifications of modern living, I'm afraid.

I noticed someone under biblical thought on Facebook put some convention materials there. Shameful. :-/

It is possible that these videos would be posted on either jw.org or JW Broadcasting in the future. But there are still some conventions to be held. I looked on jw.org>About Us, and see there are quite a number of conventions not yet completed.

For instance Central African Republic has theirs the 1st few days in January. So posting it anywhere is a spoiler for these brothers.

Personally, I'd rather wait for the GB. I feel it might be presumptious to go ahead of GB.  Remember what happened to Uzzah - 2 Sam 6:6,7

"A notable example of presumption on the part of a nonroyal Israelite is that of Uzzah. The ark of the covenant was being transported to Jerusalem in a cattle-drawn cart, contrary to the divinely outlined procedure. When the cattle nearly caused an upset, Uzzah reached out and grabbed hold of the Ark to steady it. For this irreverent presumption Jehovah struck him, and he died"

Assuming that this video was posted by one of our brothers or sisters, it points out an extreme lack of maturity.

It was a presumptuous act.  "You rebuke the presumptuous, The cursed ones who stray from your commandments." Psalm 119:21

Presumptuous: (of a person or their behavior) failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate.

I think such behavior can best be described as____________ (Choose one: Shameful, disgusting , reprehensible,  immature, lacking in judgement, stupid, foolish, brainless, mindless, idiotic, imbecilic, ludicrous, absurd, silly, witless, empty headed, halfwitted, dumb, moronic, etc.)

"And that is all I have to say about that."  :D

I don't agree with people running ahead of the chariot, if it were shared among friends privately I would have no issue with that. But I also have a hard time believing that whom ever posted the video did so with intentions of stumbling others. Yes good intentions can lead to bad outcomes, but should we be so quick to anger over a simple video post from a convention?

It happened, what else is there to do but acknowledge that and move onto the next thing.

The video seems to play like an actual file of the video .... not what someone "filmed" from their seat. Not only is the video "full screen", with no additional borders like a recorder would make, the audio is to crisp to have been gotten from an open mike or even FM.

Therefore, I would have to question not only the posting of the video, but where did they get it?

These files were placed in the hands of the new "Video Departments" at this years Conventions with the explicit instructions that NO COPIES were to be made. They were played on special media players that were built into the equipment supplied by the Branch and had NO PROVISION for making copies.

Just some observations ....

"Let all things take place decently and by arrangement."
~ 1 Corinthians 14:40 ~

My assumption is that its from the Branch. My video recording - 1080p from seat - is nowhere as nice as branch supplied 3 cameras and crisp audio.

Ifone gotten the codes for the special stream site, it's a simple matter of editing the streamed mp4 file. It's not that hard time do with the right equipment. It shouldn't have been done-put on Internet- in any form or fashion.

I've seen what they (branch video) provided and it's awesome. ☺

The entire convention is online, you need to ask one of your elders for the web address and password... it has all of the talks, dramas, and videos for all 3-days in a rich format... all you have to do is download and save it.  If you wanted to, you could open, edit, cut, and download to Youtube.  However, I think I would wait for the Slave to do that!

My wife and I travel to Senegal on monday for the 3 day convention, they have not seen this yet. We are looking forward to see our loving brothers enjoying the same we enjoyed in July. Our brothers and sisters need all the love and encouragement they can get no one goes to West Africa as a tourist nowadays. They have waited a long time for this food let us all try not to spoil it for them and of course we dont. Christian love to you all.

It is available, but it has a target audience, those who were unable to attend their convention.

It is not intended for general distribution at this time.

Perhaps it will be available for mass distribution, but it would be presumptuous to jump ahead of the Chariot, could get run over.

I am probably not following the slaves direction to the letter but after downloading the entire convention program I made dvd's available to our reg. pioneers, all the short videos from the convention as well as the dramas. I did this because they have numerous Bible students that did not make it to the convention.

Our country too were permitted to make copies, if only the elder has time to make them. Anyway, the new releases will be uploaded to jw.org website on December 31, 2014 according to Bro S. Lett.

Anyways, does someone know where all the videos (like the resurrection) are in the convention?

Anyone know the title of the talks? I can't remember....

The resurrection video was part of the symposium Sunday morning, specifically the part "Association With Multitudes of Resurrected Ones."

To find out which talks other videos were in would take a little more work; searching through my notes, etc.

Are you an elder who consulted with the body on this? Did you give clear direction to those distributed to not to share or put on Internet? Intentions are nice but :

1 Samuel 15:22

Samuel then said: “Does Jehovah take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Look! To obey is better than a sacrifice, and to pay attention than the fat of rams; 23 for rebelliousness is the same as the sin of divination, and pushing ahead presumptuously the same as using magical power and idolatry.

What was done was done.

Thank you so much. I would scan my notes, but I was too excited when watching the videos I didn't have time to write.
