  1. Oh great, that's what she was hoping for. I'll let her know. She will be one happy Sister. Thank you very much.
  2. Divers recently found a group of red handfish (Thymichthys politus), a rare and critically endangered species known only in southeastern Tasmania, Australia. Credit: Auscape/UIG/Getty The discovery of a new group of weird fish — which sport bright-red, Mohawk-like fins on their head and finger-like fins on their sides to help them "walk" on the ocean floor — has delighted the divers who encountered them, just as they were trying to document the extremely endangered species.
  3. Starvo, are you saying she could read a post here, and then (using Dragon Naturally Speaking) she could "say" what comment she would like to leave? That's what she's looking for. Or are you explaining how she could listen to the comments others have posted here? I know it's strange that she is legally blind and can read (although she uses a high-powered magnifier), but cannot type. She uses an iPad to listen to JWB and everything that is audible for JWs. Thanks for your suggestions. I might check out Dragon Naturally Speaking for myself. I am legally blind and can type and read on my devices but long texts are hard to read, my eyes get too tired. So thanks for the suggestion.
  4. Is there any way for a legally blind sister who wants to join JWTalk to be able to speak (instead of typing) her comments or questions? She can see to read...but she can't see well enough to type. I told here I didn't see anything that made it available now...but that I would ask to see if it was a feature that could be utilized. Thanks
  5. I just went to 'smile.amazon.com' and searched for "Jehovah's Witnesses"...there are 146 listed. They include congregations and Assembly Halls. It may look different now for me since I already have one listed. If you have problems locating...let me know.
  6. An elder in my hall is known for giving Wedding talks. He HAS NOT / WILL NOT perform the Wedding Talk unless both Brother and Sister have read this book, "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus." When he is asked...he gives them each a book, has them read and discuss each chapter. Then he reviews it with them. He says it's too important to take lightly. After several years...as far as I know, all couples are still happily married.
  7. The donations can now go to Assembly Halls. They have changed because of legal reasons in the structure of the name of the Charity. Mine is Orangeburg South Carolina Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. There are a few more listed.
  8. I received this email this morning regarding the Donations on Smile.Amazon. "You are receiving this email because you have previously selected to support Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York (EIN: 11-1753577) at smile.amazon.com and we are not able to issue donations to this organization. Charities are not able to receive donations if they choose not to participate in the AmazonSmile program, or if they do not meet eligibility requirements. Since you are currently supporting a different AmazonSmile charity: Christian Congregation Of Jehovah's Witnesses (EIN: 22-3765681), we will reallocate the donations generated by your previous smile.amazon.com purchases to Christian Congregation Of Jehovah's Witnesses (EIN: 22-3765681). Remember, Amazon donates 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible items purchased at smile.amazon.com. For more information on the program, go to smile.amazon.com/about."
  9. I just spoke to my brother in Naples. He just closed on a condo on Aug 11th...and he's still unpacking and getting things set up. Now this. He does not have flood insurance. He said they are waiting for their meeting tomorrow evening...they are expecting a letter from the CO on instructions. At least he can stay with me or our niece if needed.
  10. That's a great idea, bro John. Thanks for the tip.
  11. Thanks again bro John...I figured it out, with your help of course. I had to reset my gmail password, and I think Chrome password. It's all so confusing...especially after my last stroke, everything is confusing. LOL But I now have JWTalk bookmarked. So I am elated.... Thanks again ...
  12. Thanks Jerry, I would like to know that as well.
  13. OK, my second question, I brought up JW.net on my iPad through Google. Is there a way to keep it on my iPad, installed without having to go to google each time? Thanks again for your help.
  14. Alexa, Thank you for the information. Seems like you know it pretty well. I'm still learning my iPad, so this is all new to me. Thanks again.
  15. OK brother John. I thought it was mandatory since I see it so many times on the forum. Great to know. Thanks a bunch for your help. !!!!
