Sometimes I look at everyday pictures of what we do now, and imagine them being done in the new world.  Imagine being here, except now it's a market in the new world.  A hub for bartering.  Maybe, instead of price tags, there are signs displaying how many days until you can pick up "big ticket items".  Those corridors are full of people who are loving, joyful, full of natural affection, gentle, and the shop keepers genuinely want you to have the best of what they can give you out of love.  You can go to the chocolate store or ice cream stand and pig out, knowing you aren't doing so in greed, and you won't pay for it later.  You don't have to worry about whether eating the wonderful Italian food displayed above will put you over budget.  You've probably forgotten about the concept of a budget by now.  These types of mental exercises are what help keep me going in all this craziness.

I could imagine part of this - except ... no bartering. I can picture everything being free because we each do what we are assigned and only take what we need. No greed involved.

 

Many view money as a greed-based system - and rightly so. However, money is just a fast means of barter ... so, barter is also a greed-based system.

Went star gazing last night with a dedicated group. We were able to capture a glimpse of the Southern Aurora.  Not strong enough to be the typical 'moving Green' we are used to, but still very exciting.

Train cars go through downtown Rainier, Oregon. Since then this had a major overhaul for safety reasons. It only took 100 years. Will try to find updated photos.

This is "Baby" our Ukranian rescue dog. We've had her 6 months now and she is a real joy. She must have had a loving family because she is very well behaved, loves children. We are in Spain for the winter and we drove down from Switzerland, she was ever so good on the journey
