Watchtower Library on DVD

Recommended Posts

Now that you mention it, yes, there is a new update. It was not there this morning, but must have appeared since then.

This one does have the 2025 Public edition of the Watchtower. But it does not have the 2025 Awake. The latter was only released yesterday.

I didn't check to see what else is new yet...

Why ISO Standards Matter for Libraries

ISO standards are international benchmarks for quality, security, and efficiency. By adopting these standards, libraries can streamline their operations, ensure user satisfaction, enhance information security, and improve the overall management of library resources. Libraries today face diverse challenges, from managing digital resources to ensuring the security of personal and institutional data, and ISO standards offer practical solutions for these.

Some of the key benefits for library centers include:

Enhanced Operational Efficiency: ISO standards enable libraries to streamline processes, reduce redundancies, and manage resources effectively, making them more accessible and efficient for users.

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool 🎨for creativity. It causes a rush 🌊 of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

Sister, in the context of WTLIB, "ISO" refers to a file format called an optical disc image, based on the ISO 9660 standard used for CDs. However, the definition of ISO you mentioned is also correct in a broader sense.

Hello. Could anyone help me the updated package. I’ll like to install it manually. Somehow my internet speed here is not allowing me to download it on jw.org

Do you have or your local KH Library have the original 2017 CD/DVD to install from?

Having the CD is no longer necessary. You can download Watchtower Library from JW.org:

An updated package can be downloaded from the official site too:

Disc drives aren't really even manufactured anymore, most computers in the past 10 years don't come with them.

Unfortunately, you would likely have to find someone or someplace that does have good enough bandwidth to download the update file, that's the nature of how updates work. If your computer isn't portable, you'd either have to download the update file on a phone to transfer to your PC or put the files on a USB drive from another computer.

Br. Carlos, the reason I mentioned the DVD was the brother said his internet speed would not allow him to download the ISO file.  I thought if he had access to the 2017 DVD (maybe at his Kingdom Hall library) he could just install it manually form that source.

Using the DVD would only install Watchtower Library that was current at that time, from 2017. To get it updated to today would still require downloading it from jw.org, and those update files are usually huge too!

I understand.  I had extremely slow internet service at one time (barely faster than 'dial-up').  As I remember, the updates started and took forever to finish but it was OK.  With the ISO file, it would start and then 'time-out' with and incomplete download that was not functional.  If he had a DVD he could try.  Maybe a friend could download the ISO file and put it on a USB flash drive.  Then he could copy it to his desktop.  Then try to install from there..??

Yes, that would work.
