If I need cheering up these days I love The Overtones. A few years ago they were a bunch of guys who were doing a painting and decorating job and were singing together during a break when a Warner Brother's executive overheard them and the rest is history... They take well known songs and do them in a doo-wopp style. I loved them doing Nat King Cole's 'Unforgettable' on singer Katherine Jenkin's show and they've just done Billy Joel's 'Longest Time' as a video, also on Youtube now, but here they are on the Morning News programme:

Just chillin out to this tune. (<img src=)'>

:loopy::dance:

Micah 4:5 ......"we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever."

That's what an exterminator uses to drive pests from homes and businesses! :laugh:

If your going to do a job, might as well do it properly. :)

Just a little tribute to a group of lifeboatmen/fishermen, calling themselves Fisherman's Friends from Port Isaac, Cornwall, who keep an old tradition alive by singing old sailor's sea shanties at harbours, at pubs and when 'discovered', on shows - many times for charities. On Saturday they were unloading equipment to play a gig at a show when the venue's loading bay doors fell on 2 of their band and one was killed and one died later in hospital. Very sad, hope the rest keep singing in memorial - they cheered many folks up with their jolly old songs.Here's one they did as an advert for a well known UK fish company:

My friend Sarah and her husband had a Goth band before coming into the Truth in the 1990's, but decided to finish this. They still like making music as a hobby though and have made a small recording studio/music area in their attic - where their little kids can't get at the gear! :headphones:  :thumbsup:

Sarah lost her Dad to illness in 2010, only a few years after she got baptised. He wasn't a Witness  -though was becoming favourable and her widowed Mother is a study now. He used to have tea/coffee and hot bacon in buns ready for us after the group Ministry at Sarah and her husband's home -  a welcome treat on a winter's day. She wrote a lovely tribute for him and her husband mixed it and added videos and it's a lovely result on Youtube:

 That was very good but this guy would be a bit of good competition for him. (Friendly banter)

Imagine Dragons ->

This one is a little violent with fighting teddy bears and all, but I like the song!

"Welcome to the new age!"

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)
