Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

If you have the storage for it why not download the lots. If you don’t have enough storage then you can’t download all the publications.

I’m thinking that in some cases it might case issues for your app.

For same that is very possible. The app can’t take it all. It’s more likely to happen on older devices.

Yes, so maybe they don’t need to download everything, but only what they need right now.

It depends on what you are using your device for.  Last week I was in a discussion about science versus occult (dealing with a specific topic).  I checked the index and located the main reference as a 1990 Watchtower.  My wife opened her tablet to show the article and there is no 1990 Watchtower available.  I happened to have my old Isilo app still on the tablet, so I located the 1990 Watchtower and shared the article.

So sometimes you need older publications.  It is like any library in print.  You put the book there for some future need or use.  You are not sure when it will be, but you are ready. On your tablet or phone, it is too late if they are not already downloaded.  We were working on the Public Witnessing carts.

WOL now has magazine going back to 1950 but the JWL has magazines going back to 2000.

That's why I wonder if JWL will get the older Watchtowers.

You have to have Internet access to make that work (the WOL).  We are rural counties and lots of "dead" zones.  We can't count on any internet at a door or sidewalk.

Same here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula USA.

Very sketchy wi-fi and even sketchier data.  Happy to get 1 bar on my phone when out of wi-fi area.

I pay Verizon for 4G service because I was promised we would get 4G.  We don't even get 1G. :(

Can't switch phone service because the other companies are even worse. :(

I was with a brother at the door.  The householder asked a question and he offered to show them the answer in a video.  He got it started but it lost connection after about 10 seconds and would not play.  The householder lost interest and asked us to leave.

I don't go to any door without the data, magazine, book or video already downloaded on the device.  Then the only problem might be the battery...😎

I’ve downloaded just about everything (in English) in case the KofTN turns the internet off during the G.T. 😉

Once we get the older magazines I can uninstall iSilo.

I didn’t used to hoard things!

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

The update to IOS has not fixed my "Smart Invert" mode under accessibility.  the "Classic" invert still works but I can't get the "Smart" invert to display correctly.  It appears to make the text a black color on a black background.  Other colors work but when black text is inverted to white it does not show on the black background.  I know it is there and displayed, because if you highlight it, the text appears in the correct place.

Still waiting, but I will use the classic version for now.
